Dr. Somers did my colonoscopy at age 50 & 60. Great guy. Everything went very smoothly. Nurse Deb very nice. Prep sucked but procedure itself was mcuh easier than I expected. I would definitely recommend. Peter

Excellent Doctor

Had Dr Somers do a colposcopy recently (my first) and I wanted to see what was going on so I skipped the sedation/anesthesia. Dr Somers had no problem with this and made helpful suggestions about relaxing, not holding my breath, etc. It was a breeze, no pain at all, a couple of minor feelings of bloatedness and then it was over. He ID'd all of the "points of interest" along the way (liver, appendix, valve to small intestine, etc) and I got to see him snare and remove one small polyp. The only slightly annoying thing was having to wait in the recovery area for 40 minutes (twice as long as the actual procedure) before they'd let me go. I felt 100% fine and wanted to GO AND EAT! Got biopsy results in the mail about a week later (hyperplastic, not a problem).
