Dr. Rubio's first appt was detailed and thorough. She is easy to talk to and made sure I understood everything. I was not judged about my overeating and we discussed treatment options that have been useful in controlling binge behavior. I had struggled with blood sugar control for a long time and it is now under control, with med adjustments as needed.

Ask her why she left her last job at Arnott Hospital in Elmira N.Y. at 2 am with no warning and deleted all her files. She is a quack, Check her background extremely carefully

I'm sure everyone's experience differs when going to a doctor for help. I've gotten to the point where I expect doctors to be unhelpful, ignorant, rude and condescending. Also they will ignore symptoms and have you take tests that inaccurate and antiquated. That's the norm. I was pleasantly surprised when I met Dr Rubio. She is very friendly and was willing to try the protocols and medications that I had done research on. She didn't ask many questions, but I think that is probably because I was talking so fast and giving her test results, supporting articles, etc... With the end result being she trusted me to take charge of the situation with her supervision. She recognized the fact that I was very well versed in what was going on in my treatment and knew about the medications I wanted to try. These are medications and protocols that NO doctor locally has ever heard of let alone prescribed. I know this because every other doctor I've gone to acted like I wanted to graft a chipmunk to… my nose. Most of my medication had to be special ordered and pharmacists didn't recognize many of them either. I am taking meds that have all become mainstreem treatment methods but haven't reached our little town yet. Also the staff there is amazing and they respond/act to online messages, usually within 24 hours. So... If you know exactly what you want to do and you've done your homework Dr. Rubio can certainly gide you through the process. If you DON'T have any idea what's going on medically in your body then I suggest you do some research and find out before going to ANY doctor. They are usually very busy and could care less whether you feel terrible and will only take notice when limbs start falling off. In short, schedule an appointment (NOW because there's a 4-month wait) but do your own research.

I am a nurse who was so fatigued I was seeking an Endocrinologist to help with my problems...she listened attentively, sent me for tests, and was very courteous especially considering most of the doctors here run you through like cattle and barely hear problems. Found out I had hypothyroidism and very low vitamin D-3 so began treating both problems immediately. She has been very supportive since I found I have Diabetes as well and is very well versed in therapies. I had never met her before my appt. as I am a dialysis nurse but you can bet I have sent many other patients to her who have been just as happy which is not the norm here so I am thankful we got a really good one!

A real godsend. Dr. Rubio diagnosed my previously unfound Thyroid cancer and I credit her with saving my life.
