Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, MD

I’m extremely disappointed and DISTURBED by the experience my husband had with Dr. Gupta. He was sent to the hospital for kidney stones, which required surgery. Dr. Gupta performed the procedure, and the only time we saw him during that hospital stay was on the day of surgery. At a follow-up visit, my husband was instructed to complete a urinalysis to check on his kidney health. When he returned for the results—after paying cash for the appointment—the front desk could not locate his chart. They repeatedly asked for his date of birth, only to realize after 30 minutes that it had been entered incorrectly in their system. When he was finally seen, Dr. Gupta briefly stated that his potassium and uric acid levels were high and advised him to stop eating red meat. My husband explained that he maintains a healthy diet and rarely eats red meat. Rather than asking further questions or offering any real guidance, Dr. Gupta asked, “What nationality are you?” When my husband said he was Puerto… Rican, Dr. Gupta responded, “Oh, well… your people don’t have the best diet. You people eat a lot of bad foods.” This kind of racially charged and inappropriate comment has absolutely no place in a medical setting. It was offensive, unprofessional, and completely irrelevant to his care. To make things worse, my husband asked for a copy of his test results—and upon reviewing them at home, we saw that his potassium levels were actually normal. It was his phosphorus level that was elevated, something Dr. Gupta either misread or failed to communicate accurately. My husband left the appointment feeling dismissed, stereotyped, and unheard. Instead of receiving thoughtful, individualized care, he was given incorrect information and subjected to a disrespectful comment based solely on his ethnicity. I would strongly caution anyone considering this physician, and believe his behavior should be formally reported.

Very busy office with waiting room over flowing.Doctor spent a few minutes only but was personable

Helpfulness of front office staff and telephone staff was most excellent o, my most recent experience, completely overturning a prior negative review of mine, which I now retract. Alicia went above and beyond and I am most grateful.

Dr Gupta is a good doctor but the office is poorly run . Too many patients are scheduled and as a result Dr Gupta only spends a few minutes with each one

This office minimally has twice as many patients as the office staff is equipped to handle along with a barely adequate waiting room for all those people. It will take you at least a half an hour to check in when you arrive. And then you will have to wait minimally 30 to 45 minutes before you see your doctor. I find the staff to be unresponsive and disrespectful, probably as a result of not being managed or supervised properly due to the overwhelming amount of patients they have to handle. As a new patient you'll receive a text saying it is from Dr Gupta and that if there are any problems with the office you should text him personally. It's bogus. Your text, when they answer you, is handled by the office staff, and they don't take care of whatever it is you're texting about, they bounce it back to you with further instructions. Lastly, I was there to see a Dr. Marvin Stein but my prescriptions when I got them from the pharmacist had Dr Gupta's name on it. I never met the man. So that… strikes me as somewhat shady. I would avoid this office.

Dr. Gupta and staff are excellent. They are courteous, professional and experienced. I had a pain-free in-office procedure performed and all went very well. Definitely would recommend.

VERY BAD PHONE SERVICE, CONFUSE AND IRRESPONSIBLE, APPOINTMENT NOT HONORABLE AND NO EDUCATED PEOPLE. BEWARE FROM THEM.

Made appt on a Thursday, had surgery on Friday! In and out of outpatient in four hours! Couldn’t be happier with Dr., staff and nurses! Highly recommend!

The doctors here are ok but it’s ridiculous that I am here for 2 plus hours each visit. The waiting room time is guaranteed to be a good hour to an hour and a half. Maybe they should do better at scheduling patients.
