Dr. Sara Kramer, MD

Dr Kramer sent me for tests and did not explain any of the results once they were made available. I have tried to communicate with her via the app and have yet to receive a response. It's been weeks.

Took time to listen. Was proactive and ordered a test on site and reviewed test with me on the spot. Good care plan and follow up.

Dr Sara Kramer YELLED at me for not having my medical record (which was available to her through the system prior to appointment) and specific dates memorized. She said I was wasting her time because I was unprepared for the appointment and she didn't have time to review my records. Horrible experience! Do not recommend a doctor that considers it the patient's responsibility to review medical records prior to appointments.

I came to Dr. Kramer with a myriad of presenting symptoms. I suspect lyme. Because I didn't present some specific symptoms, she wrote it off, suggested psychiatric care and would only offer to order a basic and highly error prone Lyme test (western blot). She appears to only be aware of acute lyme and clueless about chronic lyme and other tick borne illnesses. She represents everything that's wrong with the poor health care model in the US when she offered no help, and dismissed my symptoms because they didn't fit her apriori paradigm.

I made an appointment yesterday to become a new patient at Dr. Kramer's 233 location. After making this appointment I received 3 phone calls from the NYU Langone office asking me to verify that I would be seeing a rheumatologist. At no point on these calls did they mention that I needed to be sure I have physical paperwork proving that I have lupus (labs, medical Hx). I took off from work to see her and the first thing the nurse asks for is a copy of my labs. I told her I don't have any physical documents. All my documents are on the FMH Mobile app which is from Columbia Presbyterian (lab results included). She left the room to consult with the Dr about this and came back shortly only to reiterate that the Dr needs physical labs and paperwork in hand today and that she would not be looking at my phone. I suggested we call my previous Dr to get it faxed or emailed over. At which point she mentions if the Dr doesn't have these documents right now she cannot see me. I was shocked and… outraged. I have been to several other specialists in the past year and when they wanted my recent labs I mentioned the app (which saves them time from having to contact labcorp). They would review and proceed as usual. The fact that this Dr insists this of a patient, especially when the staff making the appointment is in error, then turns a patient away who is more than just disrespectful. It's an utter disregard for patient care. Where has the care in health care gone? Needless to say I will not return for this type of treatment again. My time s just as valuable as hers.

Dr. Kramer has treated me for rheumatoid arthritis for several years now. Warm and co passionate as a person, she is in equal measure astute as a diagnostian. Absolutely the best one could hope for, my highest recommendation

The support staff in Dr Kramer's office is unprofessional and difficult to deal with. They permit/prevent patient access to Dr. Kramer based on unprofessional nonclinical guidelines. My experience with "Nancy" at Dr. Kramer's office dissuaded me from seeing Dr. Kramer.
