Dr. Sara M Saginaw, DO

I saw Dr. Saginaw a few years ago when I had an anal fissure. It was the most pain I have ever been in. She wouldn't give me anything for the pain. She told me if it hurts that bad, go to the ER. I fired her and starting going to Dr. Melcher instead. He is awesome. Don't waste your time with Sara Saginaw. Very unsympathetic.

She is very knowledgeable, she takes time to explain so you can understand what your illness is and what treatment is best. She takes time to listen. She is very efficient and kind. Time and space prevents saying she how great she is.

This is the first doctor I have found, since moving back to Texas, that sits down and listens to all aspects of the reason for the visit. Dr. Sara Saginaw is young and very knowledgeable about new technologies and also all of the techniques that have worked in the past. On repeat visits she will go over everything that was discussed on previous visits and how the medications are working or not. She is the first doctor who has shown me understanding, empathy, and courtesy. I would and have recommended her to family members, friends, and people online looking for an amazing doctor.

Stay as far away from this office as you can. Dr. Saginaw is a good physician but her office staff is the worst I've ever experienced in any area of my life. In 1 year 7 months, I have never had anyone answer the phone or return a call. I've left countless messages to schedule appointments or get paperwork filled out and have never had any success getting through. I've actually had to drive to the office to make an appointment. At one appointment my husband and daughter arrived 20 minutes early for her appointment and sat in the waiting room so long that the office listed them as a no-show! They were waiting to be called back! Unbelievable. Another issue I had, we were going to be 15 minutes late for an appointment. I began calling the office to tell them 4 hours prior to the appointment time. I called 6x and left 4 messages. Never received a response so I assumed it was ok. Upon arrival I checked in, sat for 20 minutes and then was called to the front desk and informed… (rather rudely) that we were listed as No-Show because the dr refuses to see anyone who's late. I was flabbergasted. I cannot wait to get out of this office!

Worst doctor I have ever seen... She can't be bothered to write prescriptions, make referrals or diagnose illness, or anything else she's getting paid to do.

It is near impossible to get an appointment or to even get a person in the phone. When you do finally get a person to answer the phone you have to wait almost a week to get in. Also, if you need more than 3 referrals she will "fire" you as a patient.

This office doesnt care about their patients

I saw Dr. Saginaw for a annual wellness check. I selected her from my insurance company website because she was convenient to my home. I mentioned a few issues I was having with my health -- weight gain, sleeping issues, menopause. I recieved a very superficial exam, a flu shot and sent for lab work. I later received a bill for a balance due. I was surprised because my insurance company covers wellness visits 100%. After inquiring about the balance I learned that the facility charges separate office visits for each issue discussed. The total charges were nearly $2000 before the insurance discount. I tried calling the provider's group, Timberland Medical Group, but the only thing the rep would tell me was that was their practice. When I asked to speak to someone about the charges she said there was no one for me to speak to and I would have to submit a complaint in writing to the address on the invoice. I did send a complaint mail and by email. Niether have been answered.

So disappointed overall. I first came in to see her for a general checkup after moving to Texas, and she gave me a nose spray for my allergies which really helped out, but when I cameback for another seperate issue, she continued to give me random anti-depressents (andI do NOT have depression, I am happy and very outgoing) then after several tried medications I just told her this is not working and I just feel like a guinea pig and I just wont take anything else and just deal with my condition, she then got extremely rude, and talked to me like an idiot. Needless to say, I will never go back to her. At least the office staff was nice.
