Dr. Sara Adele Westgate, MD

Never even saw the Doctor! I left a message and waited 24 hours for a return call. I was referred to see this DR by a current patient of hers and a friend of my husbands. The young lady that called me back treated me like I was an idiot. I was wanting to confirm that the Dr was in network for me. She replied that they accept my insurance. I explained many places will accept insurance, but may not be in network. Her response was "We are contracted with your insurance" said in a way that stated "you are an idiot". When I left my message I had stated I have been suffering from dizziness and severe headaches that in one weeks time brought me to the Urgent Care and ER. When the gal asked for my symptoms and I told her them, she informed me that the Dr would see me for the headaches only and that she would not discuss or treat the accompanying dizziness. That I would have to seek the advice of a second doctor for that. I explained that it did't make much sense to see two different… neurologists in which she repeated again "The doctor only treats migraines and will not treat the other symptoms". Yes, I got it.... I would not come back to this doctor based on her front desk staff. When I am in a position to need a neurologist, I don't need some front staff girl treating me like I am a 12 year old idiot. If you can get past the treatment by the staff, she may be a good doctor, I have no idea, but I am not about to pay for TWO different neurologists when I am paying it all out of pocket to meet my deductible.

It took a week for somebody to call me back to set up an appointment for an EMG. When I finally got in, staff seemed knowledgeable and did the tests well, the doctor was friendly and competent, but rather harried (had to take a call which interrupted a test she was performing). They did not get the results to my doctor in time for my appointment to go over the results with my doctor which was six days after my appointment!

WE HAVE BEEN REFERRED TO THIS DR. DUE TO A NEGATIVE MRI RESULT. MY MOTHER HAS CALLED 3 TIMES AND I HAVE CALLED 2X AND SENT 2 EMAILS IN 4 DAYS AND HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD FROM ANYONE! TERRIBLE! GOING TO A DR. NOW WHO CAN RETURN CALLS OR ANSWER PHONE!!!

I have never felt so at ease with any Specialist (Dr. Westgate) or her staff. I have always felt comfortable knowing they are always available to me.

Dr. Sara Westgate and her entire staff (including Mariah Denny and Mary Hobby) is absolutely FABULOUS. Did not waste time, went straight to the issues, did a great job at recommendations, planning the work and working the plan. She is superbly well educated and I loved her sense of humor as well!

I love dr.westgate and her staff. very friendly and they listen to you as a patient and not money signs. She cares for her patient and makes sure you feel comfortable before leaving.

I have been seeing Dr. Westgate for 3 or 4 years. She has an amazing bedside manner and she's brilliant. Of all of the neuro docs in Austin, she quite probably the best.

Both Dr. Westgate and the Nurse practitioner that partners with her are great providers. Both explain things in depth so I understand and neither is demeaning or belittling.

This is the most pleasant and professional Dr.'s office I have ever been to.
