Dr. Sarah Hussain, MD

She is very rude and disrespectful and doesn't care about anyone.

very poor Dr. does not return phone calls explains very little if you have questions don't bother she will not answer. sidesteps any questions you might have. They said I got all this sleep at 2 sleep studies when I only slept for 5 minutes total which I told them. They show no compassion and get mad when you ask something. Explains nothing.

Dr. Hussain did not introduce herself at my first visit, failed to explain the parameters of the visit, and never paused to ask if I had questions, just barreled along her list of questions for me. When I attempted to ask one of my own after answering about 8 of her questions, she talked over me and did not ask me to repeat myself or follow up on my obvious questions. I felt shuffled through like a numbered deli customer, not a patient that should have felt the building blocks of trust start in that room. Don't waste time seeing her.

I have no complaints about Dr. Hussain who has always done a wonderful job in caring for my needs, and who kept me as a patient even after I lost my medical insurance. My complaint is with the front desk who needs to lower their voice when asking about whether I have medical insurance at each visit. They are loud enough so everyone in the office hears them repeat loudly that I don’t have insurance and then loudly ask if I qualify for reduced payment. I don’t understand why at this office there is not more privacy, the questions are asked very loudly by the staff and as I said everyone in the room can hear them repeat our answers. They need to be more discret and concerned about the privacy of their patients. The care by Dr. Hussain as I said is very good which is the main concern however so I would recommend this place overall for that reason.

A physician I can trust and rely on. She has been there for me continuously and treats me with utmost respect and compassion. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to be treated efficiently by a physician who loves what she does.

Dr. Sarah Hussain continuously proves to be a competent and caring physician. Every time I visit, she takes the time to really listen to me and really cares about what I have to say. She solved a problem that was happening for me that several other physicians were not able to understand. I highly recommend her to all that would like a Family Physician who goes above and beyond for her patients with sincerity and kindness.

She appears to think that mental health is not a part of primary care, and refused to prescribe an antidepressant to me, saying that I would need to see psychiatry for that, but she could take care of other things. What kind of a family doctor refuses to treat bread-and-butter depression and anxiety? A crappy one, in my opinion. She told me that family doctors in Dayton do not treat psychiatric conditions, because there are enough psychiatrists to refer to. Really? Because 70% of antidepressants in the US are prescribed by primary care- so does that mean family doctors in Dayton are part of a probable minority that refuses to do so? Not to mention, how exactly does Dr. Hussain think she can speak for all of her colleagues in family practice in the Dayton area regarding whether they treat depression and anxiety? I didn't bother to tell Dr. Hussain these thoughts because she seemed arrogant and condescending, and I knew it would be a waste of time to argue with her, so I just left the… appointment. Not to mention: her office staff has a method of screening new patients before they can schedule an appointment. They will ask you a bunch of questions (health history, medications, whether you have ever had a worker's compensation claim, whether you have ever applied for disability etc) over the phone, they inform you that the doctors may not prescribe controlled substances to you (fair enough), and then say they need to run this info by the doctor and will get back to you within a business day with an answer of whether you have been "accepted" as a new patient. So I got my return call a full 5 business days after my initial call, saying I could schedule an appointment. By that time, I figured maybe it had taken that long to get Dr. Hussain to review my answers to the screening questions and decide whether or not to accept me as a new patient. Well, at my appointment, Dr. Hussain told me she had no part in the screening process and she made a kind of sarcastic offhand joke about how she doesn't know how the front desk staff selects patients, which gave me the impression that she really didn't want me as a patient. What kind of doctor says that to a patient? I'm not a drug seeker/doctor-shopper, a criminal, or any other sort of wrong-doer, but Dr. Hussain managed to make me feel (briefly though, because I know better) like I was probably that or worse just for wanting treatment for depression and anxiety. The conclusion I drew from this and another similar experience is that the really good family doctors in the Dayton area are already "taken" and aren't accepting any new patients (screened or not) and only the not-so-great ones are still accepting new patients, like Dr. Hussain. I'd tell my friends and family to stay miles away from her and others like her.

I'm truely disappointed with Dr. Sarah Hussain. I went in for preventative checkup annual physical which was billed incorrectly. I had to keep following up with the offc. staff to fix it. It took a lot of time and effort. I dont suggest anyone going to her. Same thing happened to lot of my friends. She doesn't spend much time with patient and doesn't speak to them directly over phone. No apology on the mess that was made with my billing. Keep Out!

i will recommend her, for her accurate diagnosis & treatment . She is prompt in her approach .Explains well ,try to comfort & satisfy the patient. I am having very good opinion & respect her for her professional approach.
