Dr. Sarah F Morgan-Edwards, MD

I went to Dr. Morgan for my chronic pain, and happened to get covid and long-covid after our first meeting. She put me on an SSRI and told me it would treat my pain. After begging her to stop it because it was not helping, she put me on an SNRI and kept insisting we raise it to see if that worked to treat my pain despite mt protests. During this time I began suffering from abdominal pain, constipation, bloody stools/internal bleeding - side effects of the SNRI but she didn't tell me that. I went through a series of testings and a colonoscopy/endoscopy that could have been avoided if she just acknowledged the side effects of the drug she prescribed me. I also experienced what she called ocular migraines, which manifested in intermittant blindness - a rare but serious side effect of the SNRI. It took 6 months to get her to relent and then she stopped it cold turkey and I suffered with brain zaps for weeks (I called the Belgrade CHP office and a nurse told me that was normal and not to… worry though it was severely affecting my day-to-day). I have since learned that neither drug she prescribed are known to treat pain but are typically used to treat depression - which I didn't have then but has manifested as a result of my medical trauma. And it turns out I am highly sensitive to medications, which I could have learned years earlier if my doctor had been aware of even just the common side effects of the drugs she was prescribing. (Yeah I should have reread the side effects but I was very sick and scared and made the mistake of trusting my doctor with my well-being. Shame on me.) Other notable mentions of her care include: -her arguing with me when I asked her to wear a mask in a tiny room after I had been disabled and traumatized by covid (after this discussion I was more sure I had my initial infection under her care) -her telling me the only treatment for bunyons was surgery and it was too dangerous to recommend (orthotics exist. Why not just refer me to a foot specialist?) -never refering me to PT or other specialists for my chronic pain Don't be tricked into a false sense of security by her, admittedly, excellent bedside manner. She had me fooled into thinking everything I experienced was just long covid bad luck, but she caused it and I am still suffering from it.

Dr. Morgan saw me for a couple of broken ribs. Delightful, personable and easy to talk with, clear and professional. Proxima vez hablaremos en Espanol (ojala no hay otra vez en el ER, pero en otro situacion. )

Dr. Sarah was wonderful. She went above and beyond to help me get better and provided excellent knowledgeable care. Great bedside manner too. Very thorough problem solving and a true desire to help. I felt like I was in very capable hands!
