I have never been treated so rudely by a doctor. I came in for what I thought would be a quick visit. I needed stool and blood tests ordered. Reasonably she asked for my history and as I started to tell it, she got flustered and in the end opened the door, stormed out of the room into the hallway, and told me my visit was over. When I asked her to please come back in so we could finish, she said some people just can’t be helped and that I needed to leave. So unprofessional. I left with a suggestion to take vit D. Only after I complained did she put in the order for the tests I needed. Wow. Completely unprofessional. If she was having a bad day, she certainly should not have taken it out on a patient. I could write so much more, but I’ll leave it at that. Completely unprofessional and so rude.

Dr. Sanders is thorough and clearly cares about the well being of her patients. My experiences with her have always been positive. She takes the time to really listen to me, and always answers my questions. I never feel rushed out of the office with her. I feel lucky to have found her.

I thought I was being harsh by judging Dr. Sanders on my initial visit with her for a routine physical. I switched doctors a d health care network from Sutter to John Muir. This was my first physical in 3+ years. I waited over 20 min for her to come into my room. Because I had no health concerns at the time, I gave her the benefit of the doubt when I realized she only gave me 15 of her time (for a physical smh). Her words exactly were “so we’re not going to do a full physical exam today, just a pap and some questions.” Seriously? Anyway...I let it go and gave her another shot when I was battling a prolonged cold and experienced chest pain and shortness of breath. I had concerns of heart issues, and she brushed it off and said I was too young and she’s not concerned about that. It clearly states in my medical records that I have a history of heart disease in my family, and I have high cholesterol. She ordered tests for a basic metabolic panel, a few others, but NO lipid panel (which… checks cholesterol levels), and no questions regarding heart disease and my family history. My grandfather died of cardiac arrest at 32 years old!!! If she was thorough, she would covered those things that were clearly in my record and ordered tests to be sure. And if she was uncertain, or perplexed that I had those symptoms at such a young age, the least she could’ve done was referred me to a cardiologist. Who cares if turns out there’s nothing wrong and my heart is in good shape—the point is to check. Her last words to me were, “Let’s not doing anything too crazy right now and come back if your symptoms continue”.... apparently referring me to another doctor was considered “too crazy” so obviously I never got a referral to someone who was actually concerned/trained to check for heart issues. This after I already went to urgent care twice before seeing her... I am now looking for a new primary care doctor. Advice: Save your copayments and look elsewhere.

Scheduled Physical. She only did "Meet&Greet" Billed for $220 and $145 paid from my deductible.

I did not get helpful answers to my questions / what I consider well thought through medical advice. I also found Dr. Sanders to be abrupt and a somewhat abrasive communicater. These are my personal impressions, but I must say that I have been very pleased with a number of doctors affiliated with John Muir and found Dr. Sanders' style to be radically different.

The first time I met Dr. Sanders I liked her personality, but she didn't have the skills to help me so she referred me to another doctor. The second time I saw her she seemed pretty grumpy and when I started talking about multiple symptoms she interrupted me and asked "What I wanted to talk about today" because it said on my chart that I wanted to talk about my stomach issues and not about anything else. I think when someone is having multiple symptoms and issues they should tell their doctor so they get an accurate diagnosis. She didn't listen to what I was saying and wanted to refer me to two more doctors. It seemed like she just wanted to pass on my issues to other doctors. I'm searching for a new doctor now.
