I came into Northside Hospital with some truly scary symptoms. After talking with my doctor and the nurse advice line, I was told coming in was my only option. I’ll be honest, I was terrified. My last experience at Northside had been genuinely awful, and I walked in bracing myself for more of the same. From the very beginning, Dr. Satyam Vashi, MD, completely changed that experience for me. He was kind, respectful, and calm right from the start. He actually listened to my main concerns, my long and complicated medical history, and what I was most afraid of in that moment. He was honest and clear about what could and couldn’t be fixed during that visit, but he also made it clear that his priority was making sure I was stable and safe. He provided excellent hydration, managed my pain thoughtfully, and never made me feel rushed, dismissed, or dramatic. I left knowing exactly what the next steps were, what follow-up was needed, and with real confidence that nothing had been… missed. This visit was the soft reset my brain and nervous system desperately needed so I could move forward instead of spiraling. Dr. Vashi is truly a brilliant physician with a heart of gold. I would recommend him without hesitation
