Dr. Scott Thomas Bonvallet, MD

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. When asked to initially "review" some documents, this man billed for 12.75 hours, over $8,000 WITHOUT any authorization for such a charge, then said he "couldn't help" so he charged over $8,000 for NOTHING, and then was extremely rude when asked to adjust this bill. In my eyes that is a HORRIBLE SCAMMY HUMAN, not to be trusted!

Dr Scott Bonvallett looked more like a salesman than a doctor to me. He tries to sell his expensive sleep apnoea treatment even if there is little to no evidence of something else impacting the sleep. In my case it turned out just a bad choice of pillow. And I'd rather not disclose how many exorbitant bills I ended up paying for consultation and treatment. All this stole all my respect to the doctors and belief in ratings. I guess internet is the best doctor now for those who still can read and understand information.

After being referred by my Dr, Dr Bonvellet was very good at diagnosing my sleep apnea, however since then getting back to see him is very difficult. I am now having some problems and it is two months to schedule an appointment. I cannot even get a return phone call from a nurse.

Dr. Bonvallet was recommended to us. He's amazing! He takes all the time necessary to answer our questions and find solutions to our concerns. Outstanding "bedside manner" and goes the extra mile to be sure I receive the help needed. It's an unsual combination to find a doctor who is so intelligent, personable and caring.

Dr. Bonvallet is one of the best doctors I've seen, if not the best. He is always calm and reassuring, listens carefully, and truly cares about the overall health and well-being of his patients. Over the years, he has helped me with more than just my sleep apnea, including calling a fellow doctor (a specialist in a different field) to get me an appointment quickly. I have recommended him to several friends who also had extremely positive experiences with him.

I first met Dr. Bonvallet eight months ago after being referred to him by a snorning specialist. I liked his manner when explaining Sleep Apnea and different treatments for it. I was frequently very tired, and my spouse kept reminding me how much noise I made when asleep. The 2 week wait to get scheduled for an initial test was not un-reasonable (Christmastime), and the overnight test facilities were comfortable, technicians were friendly, well informed, and efficient. I was up, showered and out of there by 7am the next morning. My title for this review is because the practice and the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) provider should be rated separately. I did not use the linked / Overlake DME as they were considerably more expensive than alternatives, especially online alternatives. Using a CPAP machine is not rocket science, especially after you've used one during your Titration. Any DME will set the machine up to conform with your prescription. (a 3-5 minute procedure).… Just ask for a list of local DMEs and they'll provide it to you. (then also check online). No obligation to select the Overlake CPAP "store" there on-site. So I give Dr. Bonvallet four stars, and I don't rate his linked DME except to say that their prices are high. Dr. Bonvallet is good with the follow-up visits - explaning what your machine's data-memory-card has recorded about your nightly use at home, and answering your questions. He never appears to be in a rush to end your session if you still have questions. My experience with his technicians has been great. His front-desk? Perfunctory. I have recommended Dr. Bonvallet to friends.

The Doctor was very professional and accurate in diagnosis.However, whenever I have a problem with my bi-pap machine it is quite a hassle getting them to respond. Every place I got transferred to said my call would be returned within 24hours. I have not found this to be true. I have been frustrated beyond belief more than once. I have been hung up by the receptionist because she didn't want to deal with me any more when I called again the phone would be picked up then hung up. This person should be fird. I have been an employer before and I would have let this person go a long time ago.

I have a severe sleep disorder which has been quite challenging. Dr. Bonvallet has been able to pinpoint contributing factors and I have greatly improved. He is quite skilled, easy to talk with and obviously cares deeply about his patients.

I have had a chronic cough for seven years. Dr. Bonvallet took the time to listen and found a solution. Finally, I am not coughing everyday. I think he's a miracle worker!!!

I'm surprised to read negative reviews of Dr. Bonvallet - especially of his bedside manner. I've always found him to be very patient and to spend lots of time discussing my situation and I've been very pleased with him. There is a front desk person I've found difficult to deal with but otherwise I find him very competent and caring and his staff to be the same way.
