Not educated about Akathisia related to psych med damage. Was a serious problem for me.

STAY AWAY!!! This doctor does not care about his patients. If he did he would not keep his voicemail always full and he would promptly call them back and see them! Instead, he said I never called back and when I wanted to make another appointment he refused. What a horrible horrible horrible doctor! STAY AWAY!!!

Dr. Cherkasky changed my life in every aspect for the better. Although attitudes are shifting, sadly, most of society still hold almost every other medical specialty in higher regard than psychiatry. Society considers surgeons, cardiologists, neurologists, etc., as life saving professionals and, I do not disagree. Conversely, society does not bestow this same recognition on psychiatrists. However, based on my personal experiences, I firmly believe that psychiatrists should also be recognized as life saving professionals. Why? Well, all I know is that I would not be here today had it not been for a psychiatrist. Thank you Dr. Cherkasky, you saved my life.

Smart doctor but totally unreliable. You can't rely on him to fill your prescriptions and refills in time. Expect to be without meds regularly because he can't return calls quickly to patients or to pharmacists.

ExcellentThis doctor is absolutely excellent he is kind and compassionate and he really is interested in his patients I have really never experienced this kind of professionalism and caring and I am a very old

I found Dr Cherkasky to be very caring and compassionate. He deeply cares for his patients & I am happy to have found him.

Seemingly never submitted the documentation required for the medication he prescribed me. After learning that the pharmacy did not have everything they needed from him and had been unsuccessfully trying to get in touch with him, I complained to him about this. In response, he refused to see me again.

I was referred to this provider, and left messages to confirm he was accepting new patients and inquire about scheduling a visit. While I'm certain he is a competent doctor, not returning calls is not a sign of a good start.
