During my visit, Dr. Gottesfeld insulted me in a way that was so shocking it rendered me speechless. It happened while he was doing an ultrasound on my heart so I was in a very vulnerable situation, including a certain degree of undress. I asked him a question about the procedure and he raised his voice, practically yelling, "how should I know?" And then proceeded to harangue me for wanting to know something that was not important. He also said I spent too much of his time in our original interview asking about whether I should take a statin or not.There's no way my questions were unimportant, in fact, they were very relevant and would be to anyone. We spent 10 minutes in our meeting before the ultrasound, but he claimed I took 45 minutes of his time. Fat chance of getting to do that with any doctor at Caremount, and who'd want to anyway? I do believe he was having a bad day. But no way should he have taken it out on me. I didn't say anything to him at the time but when I bumped into… him in the hallway one day he turned beet red when he saw me. I'll never go to him again. I wish I'd said something to him then. It's hard for a woman to challenge her doctor, especially a male. I learned something that day. Speak up when you can, and tell the truth. I don't take a lot of stock in reviews, but I do read them. This one is true. Maybe he's a good doctor, I'll never know. He's not a nice one, I know that.

Excellent in every way! Thorough, detailed explanation of everything - test results- condition- echo-cardiogram. Professional in every way. Excellent follow through appointments to rule out other conditions that could mask as heart problems. NICE! Great patient to doctor manner. Feel very lucky to have him as my doctor.
