Dr. Scott Michael Goldman, MD

Dr. Scott Goldman of Lankenau performed heart valve replacement surgery on my 87 year old father; the surgery was necessary and I am sure in Goldman's mind, it was a success. Goldman told us 1 night in the hospital maybe 2 if he needed a pacemaker. Well he had a minor stroke, needed the pacemaker which was not put in correctly and never healed properly, and spent a total of 21 days in out of the hospital. Goldman never once checked on my Dad while in Lakenau. So after weeks of back and forth to hospitals and rehab, with GI bleeds, due to medication that should not have been prescribed and seizures. My father was put in hospice and died 7.5 weeks after the surgery. Yes, his death was a direct result of complications due to surgery. My Dad was so looking forward to a new lease on life because that was the bill of goods Goldman sold my Dad and us. I would never ever have any kind of heart procedure done at Lankenau. Be warned readers.

Dr Goldman is a very talented surgeon. He is caring and takes time out to be with his patients. He does not just do the surgery and then goes off to do another one, he stays with his patients and gives them great follow up care.
