Dr. Scott Robert Schieber, MD

Had him for 18 yrs. along with my mother. I had a hospital stay and when I got out made a follow up appointment with him. Told his nurse he should look at my record from the hospital so he knows what is going on with my health. When I went to see him he knew nothing of my hospital stay. Then to make is worse his staff was supposed to get me a nebulizer and the woman called me up and told me I had to find a medical supply company that provided nebulizers for Medicare and to let her know. This was not my job to do so. The office is Dupage Medical Group and I called the main office with a complaint about it and nothing was done. I have a new Dr. now and he is awesome.

I have been under Dr Shieber's care for several years now. I would not seek care anywhere else. He identifies what's bothering you and takes great pain to ensure he fully explains what tests ( if any ), he believes are actually necessary and what to expect. He is plain talking and ensures that you the Patient is comfortable and fully understands and agrees with any and all next steps. His staff from the front desk, the nurses , and the Lab tec's, all go the extra mile to ensure your comfort. They are genuinely concerned for your well being.

Dr. Schieber had been my doctor for quite some time...years. I had a soft tissue injury from a car accident. He said it would take time to heal, which it certainly did. No problem. Years later, I was involved in another car accident. Dr. Schieber ordered x-rays that didn't show anything. He said it was another soft tissue injury and would (you guessed it) take time to heal. I gave it time. Well over two years later, I was still in great pain. Finally, I told him that something must be wrong and he needed to find out what it was. He was so personally affronted that I would question his judgment (what an EGO) that he told me I should look elsewhere for a new doctor. Imagine that...firing me as his patient because I wouldn't take his diagnosis laying down after so much time in pain. I saw another doctor in the same practice and that doctor told me I should not be in that much pain two and a half years later. He ordered an MRI and guess what? It showed something. My new… doctor sent me to a really good orthepedic surgican, who recommended arthescopic surgery to find out what was wrong. When I came out of the anesthesia, the surgeon told me that, had he known how bad the damage was, he would have opened me up instead of doing arthescopic surgery. He said the labrum was hanging by A THREAD!!!!! No wonder I had so much pain. All in all, Dr. Schieber did not use due diligence to find out what was medically wrong with me and, thus, misdiagnosed me. In addition, over time he proved himself to be condescending, with a huge ego problem. I would give him a rating of "Poor".

Excellent skilled physician, that has the patients interest at the forefront.

Dr. Scheiber has been fantastic. He always makes sure that I tell him everything that is of concern, and then offers advice on what my options are for treatment. He's very thorough, and seems to genuinely care about me as a patient. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Schieber saved my life with his careful diagnosis of my symptoms. I have been seeing him for 20+ years and he has always treated me with respect and care. My entire family sees him and like his manner of dealing with our problems. I have many health issues and he addresses them all with concern and care.

I have been going to Dr. Schieber for over 20 years and he has been nothing but kind and courteous to me, and now my children.

The worst experience with a "doctor" EVER! This guy is a joke! After seeing this doctor for a new disfiguring medical condition he has only made me feel even worse about my condition! He started the office visit by telling me that there was nothing that can be done for my condition (my face) and that i should just go back to work - all after i asked for physical therapy or a referral or a B12 shot. He talked down to me the whole visit, and even rolled his eyes! who does that? After i started crying on the exam table he looked at me and asked why i was acting this way..."because i have other patients who have other serious conditions like cancer.." yeah i guess my condition isn't important enough for him. After i told him to stop touching me he took a step back with clenched fist like he was going to punch me and started to give me dirty looks while i'm just trying to explain to him that i am totally freaked out. After telling him that again, he then rolled his eyes and tried to… put his stethoscope on me. I got up and said i'm done, he then change his tune and then said that he would like to recommend a neurologist and therapy. He then argued with me again a little more before i just left. I couldn't handle the yelling at me because of my new medical condition. I guess the advise of seeing a psychiatrist because i'm crazy wasn't his best advise either. BEWARE!!!!!!

Dr. Schieber was unable to diagnose my illness after running one test. He told me he was stumped and suggested I find another doctor.

Dr. Schieber was very attentive to my needs and he took the time to answer all my questions.
