Dr. Wigginton is rated in first place by other doctors who rate areas of practice (internal medicine). I went to him after a missed diagnosis by another doctor 17 years ago. He is absolutely the best. He truly cares about the patients and doesn't miss any details. That not missing details is incredibly important as we age. It is what we don't know that harms us. I couldn't ask for a better physician

Doc W is good - not warm & fuzzy, not humorous - he's pretty much no-nonsense, but a good doc. The staff, on the other hand, leave a lot to be desired. I check in and say hello, but not a word from them. When I get called in, the first thing they want is my money (co-pay) - again, with barely a howdy-do. They barely say a word to me during the weigh-in, BP check, etc. Doc W is a highly respected doc, you'd think he would hire a better-caliber staff.

Our experience with Dr. Wigginton was brief, but eye-opening. My boyfriend called to make an appointment and was greeted by an extremely rude staff member. Dr. Wigginton's office takes the type of insurance my boyfriend has (his office is on his provider list), but when he provided the name of the insurance to the staff member, they scoffed him and stated they were not accepting new patients. I'm baffled that doctor we've heard such praise about could have such rude staff working for him. Very disappointing....

This doctor is a tremendous diagnostician, and has a truly great attitude. He gives patients info and accepts the patient decision without any negative comments or treatment. He keeps up on new publications.....and saved my life.
