He did not review my file but offered a surgery that mostly likely would not be beneficial and suggested a treatment that my file showed wouldn’t be helpful. When I told him about my pain he explained that pain in the stomach or chest can’t be pinpointed only a region can be established. I have a shunt and the tube is located in the exact spot of the pain. He suggested I take an acid blocker but results of my GI scope contradicted this suggestion. I asked if he had reviewed my file, he said no. He suggested surgery to move the tube a few millimeters and gave the impression it would not help. I felt belittled and that my pain was discounted. When I told him another doctor in the office had given me hope and I feel like he doesn’t care. He said he was not the surgeon for me and walked out of the room. I would never go to him. If my husband had been with me he would not have spoken to me that way. I feel me being a woman impacted how he treated me.
