Dr. Sergio R. Burguete, MD

My experience with Dr. Burgete was filled concerns. I went in with a documented history of respiratory issues, including prior hospitalization and ongoing symptoms such as dizziness, headaches, and oxygen levels that often sit in the low to mid-90s with little to no activity. I felt these concerns were not fully taken into account. During the visit, I was asked to perform a walking test without oxygen, even after expressing worry about how my body tolerates exertion. I also raised concerns about noticeable swelling and discoloration in my feet, which did not appear to be further evaluated. I shared that previous pneumonia diagnoses were missed on imaging studies in the past, yet I was told my current CT scan was normal and my symptoms were not given additional consideration beyond that finding. While the office staff and overall practice environment were fine, the clinical interaction itself left me feeling unheard. I would not return to this provider. This experience has also affected… how I view pulmonology care more broadly, especially for individuals with post-viral or COVID-related respiratory concerns where symptoms may not always be clearly reflected in standard imaging or oxygen readings. I would encourage others to be thoughtful when choosing a provider in similar situations. I do not wish to be contacted or engaged regarding this review.
