Dr. Seth Gamradt

While I was very satisfied with Doctor Gamradt, I must report and warn all future patients that any procedure done in his office in Beverly Hills will incur a hefty ‘minor surgery’ claim to your insurance of several thousand dollars. This is in addition to the procedure cost and time. This charge is outrageous since this an office visit and not performed at the actual surgical center in San Pedro. The office and billing were intractable in hearing my appeal, because the Keck School of USC…Gamradt’s office is a clinic and this add on charge is appropriate. In many cases, your insurance will cover a portion of this tacked on charge, but you (like me) could be stuck with a bill for hundreds of dollars. To anyone with common sense, this markup charge is akin to ‘dealer markup’ when buying a car. Purely a money grab from the insurance/patient in my opinion. I was not verbally informed of this charge and of the office’s ‘special’ status as clinic. I was told there was a sign… somewhere amongst the 20-30 signs to that effect… Warning to all patients, if you are getting a procedure done at any physician in the Keck School of USC group, demand in writing a detailed list of claims to be filed against your insurance BEFORE you have a procedure done.

Very personable and easy to talk to and understand. I’ve had and seen a number of surgeries for comparison and Dr Gamradt ranks at the top. Performed a successful total shoulder replacement. No stitches to remove, left minimal scarring, virtually no bruising, work looks like a cosmetic surgeon performed the surgery. Seen the results of other surgeons; lots of bruising, sloppy incision and stitching or stapling. Highly recommend Gamradt. Rehab went quickly and little to no discomfort. Will have other shoulder replaced by him when the time comes.

Dr. Gamradt has been our "go-to" surgeon for years. We followed him from UCLA to USC. He is compassionate and patient. And he knows his stuff! You know you're in competent hands; he takes good care of you.

Dr. Gamradt spent his time with me, answering all my questions and easing all of my worries. He is very intelligent and will explain everything to you with the utmost clarity. I am now looking at having my 5th knee surgery because of previous failed ACL reconstructions, and Dr. Gamradt gave me more than just the diagnosis, he offered excellent bedside manner and the ultimate reassurance and comfort (which is more valuable than any diagnosis he could have ever given me). I would seriously recommend him to everyone.

I came down with severe shoulder pain (7 or 8 on a scale of 10) the week before leaving on a trip. My wife saw Dr. Gambradt's great reviews on-line, and was able to get an appointment the next day. He saw me at 8:30 am, got me an MRI by 10:30 am, and diagnosed me shortly after that as having calcific tendonitis of the shoulder. He then gave me a shot of cortisone and a day later the shoulder felt much better and I was able to sleep in peace. Throughout it all, Dr. Gambradt was warm, caring, completely on point with his diagnosis and treatment plan, and even very good humored. He really cares about his patients and definitely went the extra mile for me! His team is also first class, especially his assistant Lucy who got the authorization for the MRI from Blue Shield in record time (within a 1/2 hour!) and got me added on as an extra MRI during a very busy time of day. I was able to go on the trip and will be forever grateful to Dr. Gambradt and his team for all they've done for… me.

He is most gentle, caring, easy to talk to and accessible orthopedist I've ever encountered. He was able to replace my shoulder in a way no other MD thought possible leaving me with incredible range of motion. I couldn't be happier with the outcome!

Although this was just the office visit, he spent copious amounts of time with my husband explaining things to him, reviewing his MRI, and ensuring ALL of his questions were answered.

I had ACL reconstruction and the whole process and experience was great with Dr Gamradt and his team. They are great professionals that handle their patients with great courtesy.I would recommend Dr Gamradt to anyone with knee problems

I do NOT recommend Dr. Gamradt at all. He performed an ACL reconstruction surgery on me, and within 6 months, the graft failed (through no fault of my own) and I needed another surgery. Don't waste your time here.
