Dr. Karim provided straightforward information about the care provided for a family member and the about the next steps, and did so with understanding and compassion.

After reading the reviews on Dr. Karim and her staff, I was on the fence about making an appointment, however I called to set up an appointment anyway. I must say, the reviews DID NOT LIE about her staff!!! When I called it seemed as if I was being an inconvenience...Dr. Karim, if you're reading this, PLEASE search for professionals human beings to communicate with potential / current patients. Thank you

dr. karim takes time and listen to your health issues, she is very caring, makes you feel at ease during exmination and also she has recommended mine to other doctors for my other health issues. we need more doctors like her.

problems with office staff, especially the office manager Jennnifer, register nurse.She is rude and insufficent renewing your perscriptions. This has been going on for a number of years and definitely needs to be addressed asap.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service and care I received as a new patient at PHA Adult Medicine. Never before has a medical professional been so dismissive of my health concerns, and put me at such risk for harm. My main reason for visiting Dr. Karim was my swollen and discolored finger, which I told Dr. Karim I had not bumped or hit anything with. I also pointed out that I had a cut on the affected finger prior to the time the swelling started. I suspected infection, but Dr. Karim took all of about 30 seconds to hypothesize that I must have whacked my hand against something in my sleep and send me for x-rays. After briefly re-taking the health history I had just filled out in my hour+ wait in the waiting room, Dr. Karim sent me to another location to get x-rays for my finger. She gave me no instruction as to what the follow-up procedure would be and left the room before I was even able to ask.The office didnt even have the courtesy to call me with my results the Monday after… my x-rays. I had to call and ask for them, and didnt hear back until the end of the day, when I was simply told they were negative. Negative for what, you might ask? Well I couldnt tell you, because I wasnt able to speak with Dr. Karim after asking to do so. I expressed my concern to the staff member on the phone and told her that my finger was no better and was actually worsening. Rather than let me speak with the doctor, I was told theyd get back to me. The next day, I was called and given no medical advice, and was told to see a hand specialist. While my finger was becoming increasingly swollen and painful, I was finally able to secure an appointment with a specialist several days later. After my specialist walked into the room, he was able to see I had an infection before he even started talking to me about the affected finger. Clearly, this was an obvious diagnosis that was overlooked by the rushed and incompetent Dr. Karim in her far-too-brief examination.I am horrified at the level of attention my ailment received at PHA. Instead of having this infection properly diagnosed and cleared up in a matter of a weekend with a simple antibiotic prescription, this was left to fester for days, where it couldve infiltrated my blood stream and caused severe health issues, requiring hospitalization. I was lucky enough to discover a far more attentive and competent doctor, who was actually able to help me, rather than waste my time and money while putting me at risk. Avoid this practice at all costs.

Overall she is a good doctor,if it was not for the problem of finding a new phisician, I would have changed docors. She is the slowest physician in that office.
