Dr. Sharon Sara Springer, MD

Sharon is knowledgeable and really listens. I’ve been going to her for over 15 years and have never had a complaint.

I have been a dedicated patient of Dr. Springer's for over 30 years. I loved the fact that when you USE to walked in the door, you saw the same staff who new you. The nurses and physician assistants were great, they new your chart. THEN Dr. Springer moved in with the Family Care Physicians on Taft approx. six months ago. I never got to see her, not one staff member new anything about me, after many test's for a blood ailment I have, the nurse who I had no idea who she was, insisted my blood results were normal, which was 100% wrong! Again too many staff members hurrying to get that next patient in. I ended up at an oncologists office for testing. I feel like they gouged me for co-pays for unnecessary visits. When I voiced my concerns, Dr. Springer's nurse called me and "invited" me to leave her practice!!!!! Really??????? This is so unacceptable and am appalled at her response. I believe many of her life long patients will be jumping ship to or will be "invited" to… leave!!!!!!!!!

Be prepared to be seen in her office every three months whether you need it or not. You will also be required to have a complete physical every year, including bloodwork. If you do not follow her requirements, you will receive a certified letter stating you are no longer a patient there. Also, get ready to deal with her husband, Marty, who is extremely rude and condescending. Michelle is fabulous. There is a lot of staff turnover because Springer is difficult to work for.

I have been a patient for many years. When Dr. Springer opened her new office, I hoped that the long waits were part of the break in period. Unfortunately, it has gotten worse. Many patients now wait (I kid you not) 2-3 hours to see the Dr. Marty the office manager is her husband and is, indeed, a jerk. I believe that Dr. Springer is knowledgeable and compassionate but the office is chaos. I will look elsewhere...

she may be good at what she does, but i am less and less impressed with her skills....all computerized, she spends your exam time typing on her tablet, rarely looks at you...today, i waited over an hour in the freezing exam room (read every word of the "Woman's Day" magazine) and still had time to stare at the walls...her info on my chart was incorrect and needed reviewing.....who puts wrong info on a medical chart?....a legal document, isn't it?......i tried to get someones attention to say i had to leave soon, but was unable to find anyone, so i left....i'll go back when they have time to actually see me....or maybe not....

When I first became a patient here, I felt very satisfied with everything. All of the doctors are wonderful and very helpful. They always take their patient's questions very seriously, and they aren't dismissive like some doctors can be, However I agree with some of the other reviews on here, that there is one gentlemen who works there who has a very terrible, belittling attitude. I felt very offended when I was unable to pay off a bill I had, and so he told me to go sign up for medicaid and go to a clinic that accepts it. I am a student paying my own way through college. That is why I don't have any money. For him to just assume that I qualify for welfare was highly offensive to me. I have had many other similar inquires with this person as well. Otherwise, I have been very satisfied with everything else about Dr. Springer's clinic. I should also mention that the rest of the staff are extremely friendly and nice.

Not impressed. Waited almost and hour to get called in a room and then another 20 plus minutes to be seen by the doctor. This happened every time that I went there. The ladies that work in the office are wonderful, there is a gentleman that works there, who's attitude is awful.

I was initially impressed by Dr. Springer. As one reviewer says, she does listen to you, at least apparently. However, over time, my view of her office and judgment has sunk, and I am about to leave her to find a more experienced and accurate doctor. First, some minor details: her office has a T.V. running constantly in it at loud volume. It is impossible to read comfortably while waiting. Her office is not soundproofed -conversations in different rooms and in the hall traverse walls and can be heard. There is a feeling of little privacy. Second, I experienced a seriously flawed diagnosis with her that occurred over one of her nurse practitioners and was *seconded* by her. In this diagnosis, I was not advised to go to a resource in town that could have helped me, and I had to follow up -almost pushing for a referral- with two other sources. The first other source said Springer's diagnosis was bizarre and that I shouldn't worry. The specialist bluntly said her diagnosis was… wrong. All of this would be understandable in a world where diagnoses are sometimes hard if it weren't that Dr. Springer did not even *advise* of the the range of doubt at issue or of my options, and if she and her nurse had not *implied* the worst for me, which resulted in over a month of stress, to me and my loved one. So, unfortunately, I can't recommend Dr. Springer highly at this point, although I do concede that she makes an effort at listening. In my view, though, she does not do a good job of working against her preconceptions when she is out of her water. And *that* is disturbing. I am glad she has helped other patients on this site though, and I hope she continues to improve her practice.
