Dr. Shauna Kay Kranendonk, MD

I cannot speak for anyone else but I owe my life to Dr. Kranendonk. Twice in the period of six months she detected very small abnormalities on me both of which were melanoma. I would not consider going to another dermatologist. Period. The reason she is hard to get in to see is exactly because she is so proficient at what she does.

I had an Appointment to see Dr. K Had to wait six months before I could get an appointment for a full body check. I had seen her 6 months ago to remove an abnormality. I walk in the office today to find out I’m going to be seen by a physician assistant. When I was in last I saw Dr. K and made a follow up appointment to see her. I was never told that I’d be seeing a physician’s assistant when I return in six months. I purposely waited to get a full body check with Dr. K not somebody else based on her qualifications. I feel this is a bad practice and not the way things should be done and to be told about it on the day of my appointment. Very disappointed after driving 45 minutes I am now leaving and saw nobody.

Office staff is rude and extremely unprofessional. They put clients on hold for 20 min. and never return to the line without even asking them if they can in fact wait. Total disregard of the patient's valuable time. The Dr. allows this unprofessional behavior in her office as I was denied service as a result of defamation of character. The office receptionist allegedly said that I used vulgar language and made her feel uncomfortable! That is a flase statement 100% however the Dr. decided to beleive her without even hearing my side of the story. (This office is very strange... I guess the receptionist is related to the Dr.). Watch out because you will lose in any issue that you come across with them regardless of whether you are right or wrong. How about the fact that I, the client and new patient no previous history, was disregarded like garbage really? How's that for making a new client feel "uncomfortable"?There was no reason whatsoever for them to have acted that way. Again,… except if they are all related and it's a family run business.

Called Moday morning to schedule an appointment for my wife and was told office just opened and they would call me back in a few min. Called back 1 1/2 hours later and they said they forgot and were sorry. They took all my insurance information and scheduled my wife for a Wed. (2 days later) appointment at 10:10 a.m. My wife shows up and everybody said they had no appointment for her and asked her if she was sure of the date. Even the office manager asked what she was doing there and really made her feel uncomfortable. She left and I called back and wanted to talk to the DR. but NO return call. Needless to say I WILL NOT RETURN myself and will inform as many people as I can of this incompetent operation.

Dr.Kranendonk is a wondeful dermatologist. She took time to talk to me and unerstand what my issues were. The staff is amazing. They helped me get in the office right away. And I did not have to wait in the waiting room for more than 20 min, where as most doctor offices have at least a 30-45 min wait. I would recommend this dermatologist to everyone.
