Dr. Shazia Walijan-Munir, MD

When one of her partner's retired, I became her patient and have had great care since. She's always good about answering questions, asking about me--not just my symptoms, and giving me good information about the care given.

Dr. Munir is such a good listener. I will always be thankful that she found the shingles infection hiding in my left eye that the ER Doctor had misdiagnosed as a sinus infection. Her prompt action in getting me in to see another doctor immediately saved the sight in my eye,

Dr. Munir listens carefully and follows through. She asked if I had any problems. I mentioned that I had indigestion which lasted a few days. She recommended I have my colon checked--it was okay. Then, to be sure, she recommended an x-ray, which was followed by a CAT scan. She then recommended I see an urologist. I had cancer in the right kidney, which necessitated a partial removal of the kidney. I see the urologist every year now since 2013. So far, cancer free. I really had no symptoms--the indigestion had nothing to do with the cancer.

This past year has been a struggle for me. Dr. Munir became my care provider when the doctor I saw for over 30 years retired. She has surpassed the care I was getting. She has been there for me this past year while I have been so sick. She has seen me through some tough times. She even has called me at home to make sure I am doing okay. She is spot on. Anyone who needs a doctor can't go wrong with her. She is the best.
