I'm really happy I found Dr. Rahman. She is warm, empathetic, and professional. I have seen a few psychiatrists over the past 20 years, and trust me, they are not all as warm and understanding as she is! I feel like she really cares about me and works to understand my personal perspective. She has prescribed medication for me and is very knowledgeable.
Great Psychiatrist!!

I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Sheeba. She's incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and exudes positivity that is absolutely contagious. Unlike other doctors that may be going through the motions, I feel Dr. Sheeba really listens to me, and consults with me regarding different treatment options and medications that may work for me. I look forward to our appointments because I always leave feeling better than when I arrived, and with a game plan in place.
A Fair Warning

I saw Dr. Rahman via MDLive. While I do not remember the session in full (I have since been diagnosed with a dissociative disorder coupled with complex trauma that requires further investigation) I would STRONGLY SUGGEST steering clear of this provider if you have anything more than typical depression or anxiety. Dr. Rahman apologized every time we brought up our history of trauma (which is not only unhelpful but unprofessional) forcing us to say “it’s okay” when in fact, it’s not okay. She only seemed to focus on certain symptoms as well, painting a picture on paper that left out some details over others that she deemed more important. To her credit, we were not wholly honest with her, particularly regarding blackouts and memory loss as we did not feel comfortable with her.

I saw Dr. Rahman via MDLive. While I don’t remember all of the session (I have since been diagnosed with a dissociative disorder alongside post traumatic stress that requires further investigation) I will tell you that she was wholly unhelpful. She apologized whenever we spoke about our trauma, forcing us to say “it’s okay” throughout the session, when in fact, it’s not (which is not only unhelpful but also unprofessional.) In addition, she seemed to focus on whichever symptoms she saw as more important. To her credit, we were not wholly honest with her- particularly regarding our memory gaps and blackouts- as we felt unsafe and distrustful right off the bat. Regardless, she recommended we find in person treatment (helpful) but also recommended that we do yoga and be more mindful (not helpful). Not very good advice for a trauma survivor who can’t go anywhere or do anything without dissociating and having flashbacks. If you have anything beyond typical depression or anxiety, I would STRONGLY recommend finding another provider. -Sam (Styx)

I have seen several psychiatrists over my lifetime, and am very pleased to be working with Dr. Rahman. She is professional and very easy to talk to. She doesn't seem judgmental at all and I feel very comfortable with her. I hope she and I can work together for a long time!
Medication Management
Self-verified patient of Sheeba Rahman - Posted on November 16th, 2017
Dr. Rahman cancelled her appointment with me so I had to reschedule. The only available appointment is two weeks from original appointment. That means I will be two weeks without my medication unless she refills it. I have called the office countless times to find out if she will in fact fill my prescription at the original appointment date but I have heard nothing. I have called and left messages about four times. This is a very distressing situation.I should have stayed with old doctor(even though she is two hours away) at the very least previous doctor was prompt and professional. As a whole, I feel she is unresponsive and doesn't care about my concerns as a patient.
