Dr. Sheela Mocherla Rao, MD

She has been my family Pediatrician for 17 years, I have four children and would never think of leaving her. When my kids were young and didn't feel well, they would ask for her! She always knows exactly what immunizations they need, check on thier health, learning, welfare and happiness. She is valuable!! We love her like she is family.

Excellent Doctor and Staff! Dr. Rao is so genuine and professionally. She will call you to make sure your child is doing fine or she will call you when she hasn't heard from you to make sure everything has been fine! There is no turnover in her office, that speaks volumes, and each one that work there treats you like part of a family. Also you never leave without being educated on what it is that you came in for. No excuses to go home and say "well that was a waste of time" for the Dr.Rao lays it all out for you. I personally am not a fan of pedestrian's, I like a good old family doctor, but this one to me practices medicine both ways and that's the reason I go here.

She's a very good doctor and really cares how your kids are doing

THIS DOCTOR HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT. ONE VISIT SHE WILL TELL ME TO DO CERTAIN THINGS, THEN NEXT VISIT SHE CANT REMEMBER WHAT SHE TOLD ME, AND TELLS ME TO DO SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AS SHE HAS INSULTED ME MANY TIMES, SAYING THAT IF IT WAS HER KID THINGS WOULD BE DIFFERENT...ANOTHER DOCTOR THAT GAVE ME A SECOND OPINION STATED THAT MOST OF WHAT SHE HAD INSTRUCTED ME TO DO WAS WRONG. SHE HAS NO SENSE OF PROFESSIONALISM AT ALL...I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE TELL ANYONE TO GO THAT CARES ABOUT THE WELLBEING OF THEIR CHILDREN.

Avoid this woman at all cost! Her office is disgusting. The furniture is dirty and stained. You will wait at least 40 minutes.

The staff work hard to overbill, and demand more up front payment than required by your insurance policy. If you take your child to this office for a 100% covered by law well child visit, expect to pay out of pocket regardless. Dr. Rao does an adequate (although strangely flawed and prone to misdiagnosis) job, and there are few patients at the office ever leading to little wait (very strange to go to an office and be the only patient there, which is usually the case), but the rudeness of the staff and money-hungryness make this a very poor choice. I don't feel that the health of my child has in any way been benefited by the visit, so recommend you look for another doctor.

Dr. Rao is the best and most thorough pediatrician in Akron. She is very caring and kind. I never leave wondering what I should do to help my children feel better. She is awesome!
