Dr. Sheerin Sturm, DO

TASHA- NURSE should be terminated for treating me like I had no value and no concern whatsoever for my anxiety I was experiencing.

Dr. Sturm is extremely rude, unprofessional, and unempathic. During our first and ONLY appointment, she kept cutting me off… I struggle with short-term memory loss so I wrote down all of the symptoms that I wanted to address. I’ve been sick for months: constant pain, daily fevers, the nurse practitioner (Mary Borders) got me imaging that showed a breast tumor, etc etc. Dr. Sturm wouldn’t let me read from my paper, kept cutting me off, and showed no empathy until I started crying. When she wanted to examine my breasts, she treated me like an animal. “Get on the table.” “Lift up your shirt and just show me.” No “please” or gentleness with the situation. She didn’t show any empathy towards my harsh situation until I began crying over not being able function as a normal 23-year-old. I can’t even shower regularly because of the pain & fevers. In a message reply the following week, Dr. Sturm got mad that I referred to the Nurse Practitioner as a doctor and told me to “get busy” regarding… my labs and appointments. If Dr. Sturm would’ve LOOKED at my chart, she would’ve seen that everything was already scheduled. Also, I’m extremely sick… Telling a disabled person (I have other diagnosed illness that make me disabled) who’s now extremely ill with a mystery illness to “get busy” is so rude. I replied addressing her rude attitude / comments, the issues I had with our appointment (cutting me off, treating my body with no respect, and not letting me read what I wrote down despite my memory issues, etc etc). Minutes later, she dropped me as a patient… I got a letter on MyChart saying I needed to find a new PCP. No apology, no admitting her wrongs, nothing. If you want a doctor that treats you with no respect, Dr. Sturm is your gal!

My job pays the fees for the FMLA paperwork and they still charge you and you have to constantly stay on them to return the paperwork. Dr argues about test you want talking about costs like its coming out of her pocket. Horrible staff and Adreal or whatever his name is needs to be fired. Very unprofessional

Dr. Sturm treated me during her time in Cleveland, Ohio. Her excellent ability to apply diagnostic listening allowed her to get me help when I really needed help. To say that she went above and beyond in pre/active/post care would not begin to cover the care at the heart of this person. 13 years later, I am healthy and fully recovered from several cranial procedures... thank you Dr.
