Dr. Sherri Iona Peace

DO NOT GO TO WESTCHESTER DERMATOLOGY. Dr. Peace misdiagnosed me to start. Then she offered me a free facial to treat my scarring, which I received a $90.81 bill from her office for. After calling and discussing the issue with her team for 6 months, no one was able or willing to assist me. My insurance has confirmed this is a bill her team should be waiving/canceling or reimbursing me for and not charging me for, yet no one will help me. In addition, I had 8:00 am appointments every time, and every time I had to wait until 8:15 for someone to show up and unlock the front door. This group is unprofessional and has terrible customer service. I do not recommend them to anyone.

My recent trip to Dr. Sherri Peace's dermatology clinic in Southern California was frankly, a bit of a rollercoaster. I appreciated its convenient location in Playa Del Rey, and the positive affirmations posted on the walls around the office were a nice touch. Initially, I visited Dr. Peace to get a second opinion on a minor skin issue that I was already treating with apparent success. She insisted that my current treatment, despite seeming effective, was actually worsening the condition. She made a big deal of pointing out that I was wrong, which I didn't mind at the time because I thought, as a dermatology professional, she would know best. The doctor advised me in no uncertain terms to ditch my current treatment, prescribing two new medications and suggesting a biopsy to be sure. My concerns began the week of the biopsy, when it seemed like she completely misremembered her initial diagnosis, now claiming it was dermatosis papulosa nigra, a very different condition. When I called… her out on the conflicting information, she just brushed it off. She also seemed to have forgotten the medications she had prescribed earlier. Her advice when reminded? Toss them in the trash. A few weeks and a biopsy later, it turned out my original treatment was correct all along. In the end, my condition cleared up with the original treatment, leading me to feel that the time spent with Dr. Peace's team was ultimately wasted. It makes me wonder about the level of care for patients with more serious dermatology issues at this clinic. Something else that puzzles me is why the positive reviews of Dr. Peace sound like generic praise, while the negative ones seem more authentic and detailed. It's something that certainly gives me pause. If you're seeking dermatology services in Playa Del Rey or other nearby areas in Los Angeles, you might want to consider options other than Dr. Sherri Peace's clinic.

I first went to Dr Peace about 10 years ago. She accurately diagnosed a skin issue that I had been having and provided a simple inexpensive solution. I had been to 3 other doctors who had given me prescriptions that did not work. I recently went to see her about a Melissa problem. She again gave me an accurate diagnosis and a reasonable solution. I trust her and her staff is always pleasant and welcoming.

This woman should not even be working at a cosmetic counter at CVS she has no idea what she is doing and far from being a Doctor. Seriously read the reviews they are accurate - you will be VERY unhappy with the level of service provided by Sherri Peace.

Dr. Peace is the best, most competent, most professional, and most personable doctor I have ever been to. If you need a dermatologist there is no question that you should go see Dr. Peace.I recently went to see Dr. Peace for a problem I had been having for a while. Someone recommended her to me saying she was the best Dermatologist I would find. Considering I had such bad experiences with other doctors, hearing that Dr. Peace was the best was a little reassuring, but I had my suspicions. I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I walked in the door. When I got there the staff at the front greeted me warmly and had me fill out some forms. To my surprise I only waited for about 10 minutes before they called me. Considering you have to wait at any doctors office, 10 minutes is by far the fastest I've ever been called in.When Dr. Peace came in the room I was even more surprised. She was very professional and knew what she was talking about. She made me feel so comfortable and assured.… Not only was she competent and knew what she was talking about, but she was very friendly and personable. She didn't talk to me like I was just a number, but she talked to me like a person; she really cared and was sincere. If you need a dermatologist who is competent, professional, and has a great bed side manner, Dr. Sherri Peace is the one you want.
