Dr. Sherry Lynn Barnett, MD

It has been a long time since I have met a Dr as truly caring, always willing to go the step beyond, and VERY competent, as Dr Barnett. She takes the time (and interest) in knowing every patient, even their families! Top, top, top rated!!

Dr. Barnett has been an amazing doctor for both of our kids. Our son and daughter has severe asthma and allergies and have been going to Dr. Barnett for years with amazing results. We have never had the care for our family like we have had with Dr. Barnett. She takes her time and is very detailed with each visit and appointment. We have had several emergency situations with our kids due to allergies and asthma and have been blown away with the immediate response, care and help. If we could have Dr. Barnett as our doctor for all care we would. She is a blessing to our family and we know we have the best care possible.

I’m happy to call Dr. Sherry Barnett my asthma doctor and will happy follow her if/when she decides to start her own practice. I’ve been seeing Dr. Barnett for over fifteen years and she works tirelessly trying to make me well when I’m flairing. She thinks “outside the box” for treatments and new medications when taking the same medications or increased strengths have run their course. When prescribing new medications, she always checks drug interactions to confirm there will be no unexpected side effects. As an asthma sufferer herself, she knows firsthand what patients go through and when things won’t work instead of prescribing the same old “tried and true”. During clinical visits, she is both punctual and thorough and takes the time to answer any questions that may arise during and after the visit. I highly recommend Dr. Sherry Barnett as your asthma/allergy doctor.

We are truly blessed to have found Dr. Barnett when we did! We had been through 4 other allergists who just did not have it together. From day 1 Dr. Barnett heard my concerns, listened to my fears and truly cares about my daughter's health and well being. We have gone through the Oral Immunotherapy process and I truly could not imagine having trusted anyone more to guide us through that process. Dr. Barnett went above and beyond by making sure we had access to her 24/7, and I have never met a Doctor willing to be there 110% fir their patients. I can not recommend her enough!

Dr. Barnett and her amazing head of the OIT dept. changes not only my sons life, but our whole family’s life! With her recommendation and guidance through oral immunotherapy, my son can now eat all nuts with risking anaphylaxis. She was kind and caring every step of the process. We never felt rushed, she always listened, and she talked to my son directly when instructing (not just instructions to the parent).

I am so grateful for her knowledge and caring attitude. She has seen every member of my family and diagnosed my son with asthma after years of respiratory issues. She is kind and truly cares about the well being of her patients.

Dr. Barnett is a seasoned allergist who stays current on the latest treatments for allergies. One of my kids has a severe peanut allergy and the other a tree but allergy. She led us to the oral immunotherapy program, and I am thrilled to report that both kids successfully completed the therapy, and we no longer have this all-encompassing worry about accidental exposure for our children nor do we have to avoid peanuts and tree nuts - something we never thought would be possible! Nurse Amanda is patient and great with kids. She was able to work with our children on their level and encourage them to successfully complete their treatment. We are so thankful for this team and the difference they have made in the quality of life for our family!

Not only is Dr. Barnett extremely well educated and informed, she sees it as her mission to teach her patients about their own symptoms and how to address asthma and allergy attacks at the onset. This is what she did for me, and I am grateful that she is my doc. I had not been managing my medications well, and sometimes got confused about when to take what medication. After a particularly tardy response on MY part, Dr. Barnett sat me down and directly explained the what and why of how to live optimally with my various conditions. When I write “directly” here, I mean she is candid and forthright about MY responsibility for my own health and compliance. This adherence to her high standards has inspired me to be a healthy and mindful participant in my own treatment. She is the very best!

Dr. Barnett was able to get my Asthma under control and figured out what was causing recurring sinus infections. Would recommend Dr. Barnett for family, friends, everyone.

I have been a patient of Dr. Barnett’s for years. She has been the best doctor I have ever been to. She takes the time to listen and has given me relief from my symptoms. She always takes the time with you and explains what she thinks is the best course of treatment for you. She also doesn’t order a lot of unnecessary tests.
