My colonoscopy procedure and the report that followed did not match the very high expectations I had after my office visit. These are some of the items that I think could be handled more professionally: I would have liked to have been informed prior of the $300 charge for the pre-op office visit. I was disappointed that Dr Farooq was late arriving at my scheduled colonoscopy time and kept the staff and myself waiting for 15 minutes. It was obvious that he was rushed. According to Dr Farooq's report, the total procedure time was 11min 46 seconds. This is a very short time to do a thorough inspection of the entire colon. Both of my previous colonoscopies took between 30-40min. I was disappointed that Dr. Farooq did not take the time to briefly visit with me after the colonoscopy just to give me a brief overview of how things went and what he discovered as had been the practice during my previous colonoscopies. The report did not contain a numbered diagram of the colon nor… descriptions under each photograph of which part of the colon was pictured. Therefore, I was not able to reference the pictures taken by Dr. Farooq with the corresponding area of the colon. It appears from the report that none of the removed polyps were photographed prior nor after removal. As a high risk patient, my main concern is to ensure that the colonoscopy procedure was done by a professional who took all the time necessary to do a thorough inspection of the colon. Followed up by a detailed report including a numbered diagram and photographs with descriptions so that I can understand the state of my colon in sufficient detail. I was hopeful that during my follow-up conversation with Dr Farooq after the procedure some of my concerns would be allayed. However, that was not to be. Dr Farooq was offended that I would dare question the short time of the procedure, the poor quality of the report and the fact that he arrived late. He as arrogant and rude. Dr Farooq performed a hurried and less-than-professional operation and seems more concerned with how many procedures he can do in one day versus providing quality care for his patients. I will be seeking another doctor for my next colonoscopy.

My Husband had went to several Dr. before we found Dr. Farooq, we went to his office in Tampa and was very pleased with everything from the down to earth office, staff and wait time. He is a very confident doctor and makes you feel at ease!

Dr. Farooq was a professional and courteous doctor and he made me feel very comfortable even though hemorrhoids is an embarrassing condition. My only regret is that I waited so long to come in to have the treatment performed. The treatment was a little uncomfortable but all-in-all well worth it.

I had a very difficult colon surgery done by Dr. Farooq. He and his staff performed with very impressive precision and professionalism. I was in great hands and could not be more satisfied with any surgeon anywhere.

My minor daughter and I met with Dr. Farooq about a week ago. He walked in the room in a pair of Jean, a button up shirt and a vest. This is rare to find in a surgeon. I honestly was impressed just with that. Let alone how he spoke to my 15 year old and I. This man told it how it was,he did not sugar coat anything. He took his time with us and actually had my daughter crying happy tears. I look forward to having this man as part of my daughter's medical team.
