Dr. Velamakanni is a professional, smart, caring and detailed health care provider at NCH. Could not be happier with my treatment in her care, very thorough personalised approach. Assistant Angela Young is also responsive and excellent—Great team approach.

I met Dr. Velamakanni six years ago when I was brought into NCH by ambulance with cardiac problems. Prior to this I lived elsewhere and regularly wound up in the hospital about twice a year. Since becoming a patient of Dr. Velamakanni's I have not been hospitalized. GREAT DOCTOR!!! Hope to keep her for a long time.

I couldn’t offer a higher recommendation to a physician! She’s been my cardiologist for quite some time now and I wouldn’t change for anything. Dr V is extremely bright, an expert in her field, very knowledgeable and presents information in an easy to understand way. She’s a teacher and spends whatever time necessary to educate for the best outcome, I discovered so many simple lifestyle changes I could make (and have) and I’ve been able to come off or lower doses of my medications, which is so important to me! She and her nurse are your advocates and cheerleaders in supporting healthy changes and it’s refreshing to know your doctor truly cares! My life in general, and the way I feel has improved immensely with Dr V’s skills, education, caring, follow up, and counseling. Her nurse Bonnie is also incredibly caring and it’s clear that she has a passion for her work, together they make a solid, supportive and knowledgeable team!! If I had to grade they’d both get an A++!

Dr V is very through, personable & pays attention to details. Not shy about suggesting detailed treatment. She had me on a very specific treatment plan that brought results.
