Dr. Shrita Mittal Patel, MD

Her arrogance and ignorance was appalling. I came for suspected parathyroid problem and was in a debilitated state. She claimed that was not possible to have happened from hyper parathyroid problems. She told me to return in six months after prescribing calcium supplements. I returned after the six months, still in terrible condition. She then took a test that showed I had hyperparathyroidism and needed surgery. I have since learned this condition can be diagnosed in 24hours with a blood test. I had surgery and had 31/2 of my 4 para thyroid so removed. Because of Dr. Patel, I delayed treatment for 6 months. I also had been prescribed drugs to help me sleep. My parathyroid were so ramped up sleep was almost impossible. So I now was on harmful drugs for an additional 6 months because of Dr. Patel's failure to perform the blood test immediately.. Her attitude during my encounters with her was smug and arrogant.Thankfully I have recovered in spite of her poor medical skills, at least… when she was treating me..

Ive not had to see many specialists in my life but Dr Patel is amazing. Simply put, she "gets it." She asks probing questions, explains things clearly, &, most importantly, she listens. She is patient as I ask questions & never invalidates my concerns. Ive never felt rushed & Ive always felt Id received individual care & attention. When I was not well I had such a feeling of helplessness. Dr Patel assessed me in whole, not just my symptoms. She created a detailed action plan which gave me a much-needed sense of control. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about her-one of the most thorough and capable doctors I have seen. Ever. I am crushed she is returning to research. While she will no doubt do great things I am sorry others will not benefit from her care and expertise the way I have.

Dr repeatedly checked and responded to text messages during the visit. Diagnosis arrived serveral weeks later from the receptionist. Neither receptionist, nor doctor will return calls. Waited 2+ hours. Staff is rude. Despite active condition doctor recommendations do not meet standard of care. Save your time and find an endocrinologist that actually cares about their patient. I

I was newly diagnosed with a thyroid condition and went to Dr. Patel. She and her staff and excellent: very caring and competent. Dr. Patel never rushes and really listens and addresses all concerns. I highly recommend her.

Dr Patel is an excellent and caring professional. She put me at my ease immediately. Gently chastises when I haven't followed-through on recommendations. Referred me to some other specialists who were equally caring. She has been very responsive, even outside of office hrs. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Patel went over every detail of my mother's beth and came up with an action plan. Excellent.
