An endocrinologist is a physician with extensive training in understanding, diagnosing and treating conditions related to the endocrine system. The endocrine system regulates the balance of hormones.
Conditions of the endocrine system involve an over-abundance, or deficiency of a certain hormone. While there is a range when it comes to the amount of a hormone that is deemed normal in a human, these specialists determine whether a person's amount of hormone is indicative of a health concern. Two conditions this specialist might treat are diabetes and obesity.

An internist is a physician who focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of conditions that affect the adult population—both acute and chronic.
These doctors are often who adults see as their primary physicians because they treat a broad range of illnesses that do not require surgical or specialist interventions. They also work to help a patient maintain optimal health in order to prevent the onset of disease.
In addition to treating the common cold and flu, internists also treat chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease.

I was recently seen as a new patient. I walk in and the receptionist that checks me in is extremely rude, gives attitude for no apparent reason and is wearing headphones also. As she’s scanning my insurance she starts texting on her phone. IN FRONT OF ME! After she checks me in I sit down and observe both of the girls in the front. The other receptionist seemed to be doing all the work while the other continues texting on her phone. I’m thinking the worst for my office visit, but Dr. Valika is amazing, great bedside manner. I schedule my appointment months before and it was worth the wait. He is honestly great. Highly recommend. I wouldn’t recommend checking in with that receptionist though. I can’t get over the fact that she’s in the front with headphones in!
If I could give it zero stars I would

I would say Dr. S. Valika is a VERY GOOD doctor. His front staff is HORRABLE though. The girl that checks you in talks too fast and I noticed while sitting there in the waiting room always on her phone. And also since when is it ok to wear leggings and a sweatshirt to work? Not on a Friday either! What is the world coming too!!

He seemed caring and helpful when I saw him and then it all fell apart the second I left his office... They lost multiple test results, were unorganized, RUDE, and gve me false information multiple times. 3 weeks later Dr Valika called me and asked when I was getting a test he ordered for me... I said "I DID, 3 weeks ago, in YOUR office" and he had no idea... I told him my symptoms were getting worse, he said he would call me back the next day andNever did. Now, over a MONTH after seeing him I have seen a new doctor who has actually been on top of things with me and sente for a brain MRI, which came up abnormal. To think that sOmething serious is going on with me and it has taken a mo th later jist because of this doctors unorganized practice, understaffing, and overload of patients he cant handle, makese very sad and frustrated. Thank God I gave up on Dr V and went somewhere else wen I did or I may have been in serious health jeporady.
