Dr. Sidney Kendrick Smith, MD

Dr. Smith helped get my medication regulated so that I would feel normal again. He is excellent at working with older adults since we react differently to psychiatric drugs. He is also conveniently located near my house. A win, win.

My bipolar brother goes to Dr. Smith and I do think he is fairly good BUT my brother has a off and on drinking problem and when Dr' Smith told him he can drink 2 beers a week, I was shocked to say the least. He supposed to know and have in his notes that my brother is an alcoholic. Why would a doctor say 2 beers a week to a alcoholic when he SHOULD know he will have 4 to 7 per day. I have forgiven him, and passed in on to a Nurse that was seeing my brother once a week, part of a Medicare program, I think she passed it on. It's my ONLY complaint. Other than that my Brother is doing good after 5 years of us being together. Also, the person that wrote he is 84 years old is WRONG. He's in his late 40's or more like in his 50's. They must be talking about 'maybe' his father (?).
