I was referred to Dr. Issen by a nurse friend of mine. I was looking to establish care, didn't have any particular complaints. Dr. Issen was very thorough, caring and not rushed in the least. She followed up with a letter advising me of test results and suggesting some additional testing. I was completely pleased with her care, knowledge and bedside manner.
I don't go to the Dr. at every ache and pain;usually wait till it has bothered me for months and then have a few concerns at the same time. She is not my reg. dr.so had never seen her before. wow is all i can say. I had asked her about an issue i was having and had told her about family history and had asked her if she could run a test to see if i might possibly have it.She totally blew me off saying that i couldn't have it,wouldn't listen to me and cut me off at the "quick" and was so incredibly rude!I keep trying to talk to her about my symptoms and she finally relented and said "if it will make you "feel better" i will some tests".(basically to appease me.Oye!I been having some other pain going on for months but didn't mention it as i felt she'd brush me off again. I stillam having this pain and haven't gone back to the dr. but it makes me wonder who else she has brushed aside that might have had a more serious issue and didn't say anything because of her attitude?
I had been a patient of Dr. Issen's at Rockwood Clinic. I don't remember why exactly, but I chose to leave Dr. Issen and began seeing another physician in a different office. Dr. Issen was notified of the change and called my new physician with completely unfounded untruths. Dr. Issen informed my new physician that I was using multiple pharmacies and multiple physicians for medications which I don't even take. It is impossible to prove that you are not using multiple providers and why Dr. Issen felt the need to damage my relationship with my only medical provider is unknown. I did go in and access my chart and there was no documentation regarding any of her charges. Rockwood was notified of the situation.
