Dr. Simone Van-Horne, MD

Dr. Simone Van-Horne really encompasses the true spirit of internal medicine and the general practitioner. She has experience in hospice medicine and palliative care, hormonal therapy, incontinence treatment, weight loss, general internal medicine, facial rejuvenation, and medical spa therapy. She is keen on treating the entire patient – mind, body, and soul! Her motto, health is the greatest form of wealth and she stands by that 100 percent.

Her formative years of internship were spent at the University of Pennsylvania Health System, where she earned the Dinon teaching award given to the youngest, the first black woman, and where she was also Chief resident. This is all a testimony to her continued curiosity and love of teaching young doctors and patients alike about optimizing health. Before that, she was in medical school at the University of the West Indies, and her training included doing everything for the patient – setting up intravenous lines, taking blood, and …do not be freaked out if she chooses to do this herself in your visit, as she is VERY hands on.

She is Board-certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and has hospital privileges with local hospitals, though she does not currently round on inpatients anymore. Because of her relationships with colleagues, she can access information and relay it to colleagues when crucial.
