Dr. Sofia A Aksentijevich, MD

When I first started with her I had no idea of autoimmune diseases the causes and/or factors about it, not only did she educate me but she took time to listen and not judge me... not too many doctors listen to their patients anymore and treat the individual as an individual, most treat patient issue 2ith what works for most, the problem with that is we are all genetically different, even if related we are different She was the 1st doctor to make me feel I wasn't going crazy or telling me it was all in my head... I miss her as my physician and wish her the very beat life has to offer... I sure wish I knew if she was practicing close within driving distance because I'd travel for my health and sanity...

She really made a difference in my life. I had gone to several other Rheumatologists before and I just wasn't getting better. Dr. A spent time listening to me and found my problems. She is wonderful!

Absolutely wonderful experience! I have been in and out of doctors offices for the last two years with no help thus far. Dr Sofia spent so much time with me I thought I would have to pay for several office visits. She listened to me and I mean really listened. Examined me and made several calls ordering tests. I was very please that she did not treat me like the other doctors have in the past. She said there is a reason you are sick and I am going to find it. Absolutely the best!

Here is an exemplary physician: She listens attentively, is very honest and caring. She spends the time explaining things and showed great respect for all my concerns. She figured out the problem and took the time to discuss my options. I never felt more at ease with a doctor.

You have to wait, but she takes just as much time as you need. She is wonderful!

I have been previously followed by a prominent rheumatology group in the area, and none of those doctors even compares to this amazing doctor: Dr. Aksentijevich never made me feel rushed and is the best diagnostician. If she is a bit late, it is because she spends so much time with each patient. Carefully explaining every detail. Well worth the wait!

I waited forever in the office for an appt in the Vernon Hills office. The Dr. seemed very rushed when with me. She barely looked at me and kept looking in her computer. I was given a piece of paper with the word fibromyalgia on it and was told to google it myself. She placed me on a terrib le medicine that caused many bad effects. It also took her a week to refill my rx that I was told to take everyday. I just felt like another number.
