Dr. Sonia Gyamlani, MD

The type of care I received at Kelsey Seybold at this location by Dr. Sonia Gyamlani and her Nurse, I hope no one ever has to endure. I have never in my life been so mistreated by a doctor and flat out denied patient care. I sat in this lady’s face crying in pain and she still cancelled my appointment and made me leave. Her Nurse for starters; was beyond rude and seemed upset that I was "late". I tried explaining that I wasn't late, but she did not care and told me the doctor would only come in for a few minutes to see me because she has other patients. Once the doctor, Sonia Gyamlani came into the room; the first thing she said to me was "is there a problem" with an attitude. She threatened me the entire time about cancelling my appointment and that she has a 5:30p appt and that she doesn't have time for this. I'm literally crying to her, telling her I need help, telling her I've been in this pain for the past 3 weeks and that her Nurse was also rude to me and seemed irritated with me… because I wasn't there at the time they wanted me to be. During her treating me this way, I tried explaining to her that I was scheduled at 5:15pm, about time I finished check-in - it was 5:18pm. I even emphasized how the lady at the front desk called them to confirm me being there for my appointment and everything before I went up elevator to the floor the I needed to be on. Dr. Sonia Gyamlani then said “Well, it's still considered late" and told me she only had 5 minutes, and I had to " make it fast" if she was going to see me. I told her I did not appreciate the way her and her staff were treating me, and this is not how Kelsey treats their patients because I've been coming here with my entire family for almost a decade. She then cuts off the computer and tells me " I'm not doing this; you've already been in pain for 3 weeks; you'll have to reschedule" and she left out the room. I hope and pray no one ever have to feel the way I am feeling right now. I feel completely helpless, defeated, let down and still in pain. I am a Nurse myself, and I am truly distraught by this; I practically begged Dr. Sonia Gyamlani to still see me, regardless to what was going on and she left me there, with my kids with no remorse. I went this long being in pain because I thought I could handle it and the minute I feel it’s overbearing and try to get help; this is how I was treated. This was so inhumane, unprofessional and just flat out wrong. I pray someone with a heart sees this and does something about it, there's no way this is ok to treat patients like this and leave them feeling hopeless like I am right now.
