She was filling in for my usual OBGYN. I reached out asking if I should still be feeling discomfort from a yeast infection after taking medication 10 days ago. The response she sent was one of the most ignorant responses I've ever seen. I specifically named the anti-fungal medication I had taken and this is what she said: "Itching can persists for about a week even though the antibiotic has been effective." Girl...it wasn't an antibiotic, and I told you that it's been 10 days? She went on to say "I would recommend using an anthistamine like zyrtec to control the itch and applying a light coating of hydrocortisone 1%" Um....hydrocortisone does not belong in your V. There are so many other effective topical medications for yeast infections that help with itching. Zyrec takes days to build up in your system to actually help with itching - Benadryl would be way better relief. Huge yikes. She didn't even read my message and gave me terrible medical advice. Avoid this provider at… all cost.

Doesn’t seem to have the ability to listen to the patient, which comes across as invalidating.

I never felt judged and I always felt listened to. She did my hysterectomy, and I don't have any complaints.

Picked her as my ob/gyn for my first pregnancy. Switched doctors halfway in because she did not pay attention to my needs. Instead of providing good advice and listening to her patients, she’s judges you and makes you few uncomfortable if you question her. Skip her!!

Dr. Ordonez is highly trained and has been my Kaiser OBGYN for almost 8 years. Last month she performed a laparascopic hysterectomy on me that was as easy as could be and left very little scarring and no pain (just minor discomfort)! I highly recommend her.
