Dr. Stacy Loeb, MD

I live in NYC and went to Dr Loeb due to urine being reddish. She was caring and put me though a battery of tests. After being on antibiotics for a short while the UTI was taken care of. She was through and took my concerns seriously. I think she is a great doctor.

I was extremely anxious seeing a female urologist for my male urinary problems. Dr. Loeb took the time to listen to my history and current symptoms. She was aware of my unease, but after a few minutes of conversation I relaxed. Her diagnostic skills were spot on. Now that I am on a little medication, my symptoms are under control. As a man, I was fearful about having a female doctor treat my urological issues. After being treated, I can tell you there was no reason to be fearful. Dr Loeb is pleasant and immediately put me at ease. We discussed the issues and she told me what would happen each step of the exam. Her diagnosis was similar to what my primary care doctor thought, but it was very comforting to know that a first tier doctor at NYU confirmed what problem and the course of treatment that I needed.

I went to Dr Loeb to be tested for prostate cancer. I ended up just having what she called BPH. Now, I understand the prostate caner screening protocols. She could see I was nervous and made sure that I understood how the screening process worked and what the next steps would be depending on the screening results. I appreciate that she took the time to explain what was going on and how the screening process worked. She is great and I plan to see her again, as needed.

I have been a patient of Dr Loeb's since she arrived at NYU. I can tell anyone who is interested, that no only is a very skilled doctor, but she is a very caring person.
