Dr. Stanton Michael Malowitz

My son despirately needs to see a gastroenterologist. We have a PPO insurance. When calling this office for a much needed visit, we were told we must have a referral. I thought this was unusual, but immediately called my son's physician for the needed information. The next day I called back and was told that I am still unable to have an appointment as they need the bloodwork results from my son's family doctor. (They received the referral within 24 hours). I asked if we could please just get on the doctor's schedule, and I would have those results sent as soon as our doctor was able (I would have called immediately). The office staff told me that Dr. Malowitz would want to first REVIEW the bloodwork and THEN I could make an appointment. That could be a week or more. I have no idea. My child is suffering and has been for some time. We are trying to figure it out and have seen 3 doctors already when the final doctor suggested the gastro visit. My son is in tears regularly. Either… the office staff was strong-arming me, or Dr. Malowitz is screening patients. Either way, it has left a very bad feeling in the heart of a parent who has been trying for months to find a cause for my son's symptoms. I told the staff that I thought I could be able to get on the schedule at we would have the bloodwork sent. She said no. We will find another physician.

Dr. Malowitz accurately diagnosed my daughter after no one else was able to help her. He spent a lot of time with us, and he followed up the next day to see how everything was going. I am so glad we found him!
