Dr. Stephanie C Bird, MD

Please do not go to this Dr. She should’nt be practicing . No compassion toward patients. She made me feel like I was in court. This was a nightmare going to see her!!!

Seeing Dr. Bird was literally the worst interaction I've ever had with another doctor as well as the worst treatment. I sat in the room for an hour before she came in. All she wanted was to get me out. I have the worst medical condition I've ever had and probably ever will. Maybe she deals with it so much she lost all of her compassion. I'm incredibly nervous about it to say the least and I'm always a very calm person. She looked at me while I had only a couple tears in my eyes due from being so nervous and she said "why are you so upset" but not in a 'I actually care what you are dealing with' kind of way. More like a ''why do I have to deal with this right now' kind of way. I was shocked after telling her the excruciating pain I've endured for the last year that she would say anything about a couple tears. She told me that there is a pain clinic downstairs like I was there for pills. I wanted treatment, I wanted a plan on what to do from here. When I told her I don't just want pain… pills she stood up looked at me and, I kid you not, said "there's nothing I can do" and LITERALLY walked out with out saying bye or when to come back. She is seriously the worst doctor and one of the rudest people I've ever met in my entire life. I waited months for this appointment and when I told her that she said "why?". Well maybe because that's the soonest appointment they had, I even had to leave work to make it. I think I'm rambling but I want to make it clear that this doctor is not a good Doctor and I don't think anyone should see. I'm not dropping this either, I've had a medical condition I was diagnosed at 16 with and she told me I don't have it because I don't have acne. I've had doctors my whole life after looking at blood tests tell me I have it and I still currently do as of a physical I got 6 months ago but she didn't look at any of my medical history and just my skin and said nope, you don't have it. GO TO ANOTHER DOCTOR.

Dr. Bird is an exceptional doctor. She helped me through a difficult time and I always had total faith in her judgment. She is extremely knowledgeable and takes questions and concerns seriously. Kindle have the utmost confidence in her and feel fortunate to have found her.

My regular I gym is out on medical leave so I got appt. w dr bird. She was pleasant, extremely sympathetic and informative. She ordered tests to determine exactly what my problem is rather then guessing. I was totally happy with her in every way.

Dr. Bird is very knowledgeable, kind and patient. However, the administrative aspect of her practice leaves much to be desired. It is nearly impossible to schedule an appointment unless it is an emergency. The office seems in disarray and is very disorganized.

If I could have left 0 stars, I would have done that. I'm sure Dr. Bird is great if you go to her with routine OB issues like antenatal care. However, throw in a difficult to treat gynecoligical issue like endometriosis, and you'll see the incompetence coming through. Her advice to me was to drop out of graduate school and get pregnant in order to be relieved of endometriosis. How can anyone prescribe pregnancy for a disease? first of all, pregnancy as a "cure" to endometriosis is a huge *myth* as the disease has been documented in women who have had biological children. Secondly, it is utterly inappropriate to prescribe pregnancy as a treatment to a woman. If I had followed her advice (by some miracle if I was able to get pregnant given how much disease I had), I probably would have child protective services after me because I was in so much pain and my body had so much disease that I needed to go to NYC to be operated on by a doctor who specializes only in endometriosis that… resulted in a 7 hour surgery. The brigham and Dr. Bird really needs to get real about women's health by understanding taht women's health is more than just pregnancy.
