Dr. Stephanie Joy Drew, MD

Worst surgeon ever! My sister nearly died after a serious domestic violence case. She was referred to Dr. Stephanie Drews. I then accompanied her to the physician's office. As soon as the doctor came in the room, while looking at both of us, the first statement she made towards my sister was: "One thing you're not going to do is abuse the drugs and become addicted. Now, I'll prescribe Motrin for you." My sister had one of her eye sockets fractured, along with a broken nose, broken sinus bone, and also severe bruising on her entire body. Never in my entire life had I felt so low and degraded as I was at the presence of this so-called doctor. Simply put, this lady prejudged us. The rampant and pervasive abuse of prescribed medicine by others had made me and my beloved sister appear as usual suspects. As a surgical dental assistant for the past eight years, I have never seen such careless act coming from any of my supervising surgeons that I witnessed first hand, from a completely… heartless physician, who lacked bedside manners. Because of the above facts, should you need professional care by a physician, who genuinely cares about your medical needs rather than meet his her quota for the day, and worse yet, becoming the target of her deliberate and unfounded accusations in the nature of stereotyping, I would highly recommend to stay away from Stephanie Drews!

My 11 year old autism spectrum son, who is terrified of needles, needed 5 teeth pulled. At the consultation, I explained how terrified he is. She suggested an anesthesiologist would give him a quick shot to make him to to sleep then they would do the IV sedation. Instead, I didn't find out who the anesthesiologist was until the night before. Then he tried to "sneak" the IV into the back of his hand without sedation. After terrorizing him, they finally gave him the single shot to make him sleep before putting the IV in. The extractions took 10 minutes. They were very caring as he came out of anesthesia. The information I was given to take home had adult recommendations/dosages for Tylenol. The office does not take insurance, so I was told. I paid in full for everything, but they billed the insurance anyway. Insurance sent them a check. But they have to send it to the main office to verify that they can send me a refund? The front office and the Dr. Drew were nice, they just… don't seem like they are good with children or with the billing.
