Dr. Stephanie J. Smith, MD

Stay far away from this “so-called dr.” Previous 3 drs sold out to some multi-million dollar health company, and my treatment plan went down the tubes, because she says its my way or the highway. Why I was stable for 25 years on my drug regimen, and she rips it all away on my first visit. She won’t look you in the eyes, is not people friendly, refuses to listen to patients, and I will NEVER go back to this clinic, even if I am dying. How the hell she became a doctor is beyond all comprehension. She is rude, inpatient, and cares not for the patients she inherited. Stay the hell away from this clinic, unless you like those trigger point/epidural injections - they hand that out like kids candy….STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC

She is cold and doesn’t listen. She turned her phones off at her office for 2 whole entire weeks. Didn’t fill her patients prescriptions at all. Patients could not contact her. I ended up at the emergency room fooling with her. They tried to contact her but couldn’t reach her. My pain pump was empty and I was in horrible extreme pain. My body went through withdrawals. She is nothing like the other doctors that use to be there. NEVER AGSIN WILL I GO THERE AGAIN IN LIFE.

I've been a patient of SIPA for over 6 years. The doctor that I was seeing left and Dr. Stephanie Smith took his place. I get so nervous meeting new doctors but I had no reason to be. Dr. Smith is an amazingly talented and kind doctor. She listened to every word I had to say and never once rushed me out the door. She examined me head to toe and came up with a treatment plan for me. She is incredibly smart and super gentle doing procedures. She is also very funny and her bedside manner is the best I've ever had. I truly believe that she cares for her patients and wants us to have a good quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. Stephanie Smith if you are having chronic pain. I can't wait to see her again at my next appointment. Thank you Dr. Smith for everything you do.

I have seen Dr. Smith 13 years & she’s one of the best of the best!! She listens & knows what to do for you! Very informative about what needs to be done! I love her!!

I was a patient of dr. Smiths at the Gwinnett practice. Once she left the practice, I soon knew I needed to find where she went. She is a Dr. that listens to you , but will order the best treatment plan for you. I now see her in her Buford and Gainesville office. It is hard to find a good doctor. When you do, I suggest you follow them wherever they go. I love her. She has help control my pain.

Hello. I have been a patient of Dr Stephanie Smith for 12 yrs. at Gwinnett Pain Management. She listens to your problems and requests. She will offer different methods of treatment for your chronic pain conditions. She is very professional yet, you feel like a close friend. She's always made me feel comfortable during my procedures with very minimal pain. I will be leaving Gwinnett Pain Management even though it's only 8 minutes from my house to join her at the Burford clinic. I hope Dr. Smith will be happy at her new place of employment! She has got to be the worst doctor that I have ever had to treat me. The title doctor does not fit her and her hypocritical oath must not mean much to her. She has no compassion, no bedside manners, and no feelings for those in pain. She does not share or give you a choice on how to treat your condition, it's her way or no way. If there were any other place to treat my condition I would go there. So please beware if you are looking for someone to treat you DO NOT, and i repeat DO NOT be treated by this woman.

I've been seeing Dr. Stephanie J. Smith for 4 years and she has been an AMAZING doctor to me. Dr. Smith is very knowledgeable of her profession and she was able to prescribe medication that helped me walk again. I truly love and appreciate Dr. Stephanie J. Smith for helping me manage the excruciating pain that I have on a daily basis.

I suffer from a very painful Blood Disorder (Sickle Cell), she was very cold and callous upon entering my room after I waited 1hr In the room. Try to treat me for pain without even Learning about me as a person, and gave me a very cookie cutter decision. I do not recommend this Doctor, she needs to learn how to be more caring and compassionate. Definitely will not go back to her.

I have been a patient with Dr. Smith for years. She has shown concern, taken care of my issues besides my original one and continues to treat me with respect. She is stern in her request for you to follow, however; its for your benefit that you do as instructed. I enjoy her staff as well because when I arrive they go straight to assist me in getting in and out on time. She is not a jokester, she's my doctor and I admire her being direct and giving me the advice I need in order to get through a difficult time. Thanks Dr. Smith for being the caring doctor that I need because pain is no joke and your treatment has been "on the money".

It is SO unfortunate the negative feedback some other patients have written about Dr. Smith!! I have gone to her for many years. At first I didn't get the 'warm & fuzzy' feeling from her that I get from other doctors. Almost changed to another doctor because of that reason, BUT I decided that I wanted a doctor with her credentials, professionalism, and consideration. She is ALWAYS booked....because she is really SUPER at what she does, people!!! She also has a good sense of humor! That says a lot about a person too, especially a doctor as superior as Dr. S. Smith!! So...do you want a doctor that can B.S. OR do you want a doctor that knows her stuff????

Saw Dr. Smith as she was filling in for regular physician on vacation. She didn't look me in the eye or smile. Poor listener with rather indifferent attitude. I'll not see her again if my physician not available.

Dr. Smith is a rude uncaring doctor. I had read bad reviews about her but was hoping she could help me. when she came into the room, no eye contact and was very demeaning. There are other doctors in the office that I have read good reviews on. I have never had such a horrible visit with a doctor in my life. My care was never discussed and no options were recommended to me. Like I said, run and get another doctor in the practice if you are refereed to this clinic.

I was going to write a long, detailed review about this Dr., but decided against it. I'm just going to say, don't go to her. She didn't care about me or what I had been diagnosed with. She never examined me. She wouldn't look at me during my visits (just flipped through papers) and she would roll her eyes when I'd try to say something. Then she would huff out of the room like she was mad. She prescribed me drugs that I would have never thought I needed and I didn't need them, not thoseâ?¦they were extreme. I wouldn't recommend her.

Dr.Smith spent time talking with me about my diagnosis and alternatives. Easy to talk with. The nursing and office staff was knowlegable, courteous and helpful.

Dr. Smith was my assigned Pain Management doctor once I was release from GMC. She never one time made me feel like she cared. I thought maybe it was just me so I began taking my mother and a friend to my visits. They agreed with me 100%. She looked at me in disgust and when I would speak of my problems, she NEVER knew what was wrong with me and i'd have to tell her each time. She never looked over my file to get a recap before she came in. Later down the road I began seeing another PM doctor near my home because I did not feel comfortable with her. When asked by staff why I was transferring to a new location I simply told them I was not happy. I left it at that, no harm no foul...I thought. A year and a half later (last wk) I found out from my surgeon that she left a note on my record that SHE dismissed ME because I abused my meds and claimed to have my pills stolen twice!! First off, she prescribed me more meds than I could ever imagine taking. Second, if I was "abusing my meds" why were there never drug tests to see what was in my system or anything to document this to at least build up her record on me for her personal evidence? Since I just found out a few days ago about this, I am still in shock and looking into what I need to do about fixing this and possibly some type of legal action. This will effect me horribly in the future especially because I have a disease that will require pain medicines for the rest of my life. I still cannot believe that this has happened and I will be asking for her documentations and proof. I warn anyone else that may have had problems with her, PLEASE check your record! I have a feeling this has happened to numbers of people that did not care for her service. This will be so difficult to fight because she is the one with the PhD, not me. I do not recommend her at all!
