Dr. Stephanie Hisako Kong, MD

I began taking my oldest to Zoe on Willaims Road in Columbus, GA when she was about 2 months old. She was colicky and screamed all the time. When we would have an appointment, they would make us sit in a room for over an hour while my daughter screamed the entire time before coming in to do vaccines. I pulled my oldest when she was 5 months old as I was pregnant with her sister and had miscarried her twin, I was going to southeast Georgia and taking them to a new pediatrician. A year later we returned home and begrudgingly needed to take them to a pediatrician. My youngest who is 4 now, was seen by doctor Akram Elamaari in January 2021. She had COVID, our entire house had COVID. All he was interested in were her ears. She has always had a LOT of earwax, but he held her down by her head on the exam table to the point where his fingers turned white while she screamed, kicked and was traumatized. We haven't taken them to this office since. Today I receive a certified letter from Stephanie… Kong stating that my child is being dismissed from her practice. What she fails to realize is I have dismissed her practice from my children's care a long time ago. I would not take my children to Zoe pediatrics' if my life depended on it. I was hopeful that the unprofessionalism and ignorance was just a local issue with this practice, but it seems that it begins at the top and flows like a cancer throughout this organization. If you love your children, please don't subject them to Zoe Pediatrics.

We waited over an hour and when we finally got to the room the nurse took his vitals and checked his ears and said he looked good and that the doc would be in in a few minutes. When she finally arrived after twenty or thirty more minutes of waiting, She took my 6 month old out of my arms and said she WAS going to give him a breathing treatment. She didn't ask if I was ok with that or anything just took him from me and told me she WAS going to. And I told her no since he hasn't been weezing he didn't need it. And then she proceeded to tell me that he has an ear infection. She then turned around and said "well since you won't give him a breathing treatment, will you treat ear infections?" In a smart remark tone. I will be getting a second opinion as my son has not acted like he has an ear infection at all! Totally rude and very disrespectful and made our son scream his lungs out. Would not recommend her for anything. NOTHING WOULD MAKE ME TAKE MY SON BACK TO THIS DOCTOR EVER AGAIN. I… would rather wait two or three hours in the ER than see Dr. Kong.

She is a narcissist please don't send your children there.
