Dr. Butos pre-op staff was very friendly and helpful. Lorena who set up my IV was gentle and listened. They asked about my animals which calms a person and had me laughing. Once the procedure was through, Dr. Buto presented his findings. Good experience if you can say that about a colonoscopy!

Always running late and the rooms remind me of the 50's. Outdated and the guy is arrogant.

I just took my colonoscopy with Dr. Buto at Hawaii Endoscopy Center. Staffs were friendly and nice. However, Dr. Buto didn't have good communication with them. After my colonoscopy, I was in bed and half unconscious. Dr. Buto opened the drape and said something for a second. It was like he just walked by the bed. After a while, staff brought me to the "after endoscopy waiting room" and told me that I had to wait, Doctor will talk to you. So I was waiting for about 1 hour! I asked staffs who was walking around a couple times while I was waiting, but everybody just said " you have to wait". Finally, one nice staff checked with Dr. Buto. and she said that he already talk to you. so you can go" What? Dr. Buto thought it was OK, that he just said something to the still half unconscious patient? and he didn't tell about it anybody? So, I and my husband (he have to came to pick me up. Because they did general anesthesia) were waiting for more than 1 hour just for nothing. He supposed to tell… so to the staffs. and staffs also should confirm with Dr. Buto when I asked at the first time. They let 2 people waste 1 hour, and didn't give us enough validation tickets even when we had to wait because of their bad communications.
