Staff rude and bumbling as after 3 tries to get my RX correct they still failed as if my health was of no concern to them. When I complained the guy I spoke to replied that "I don't have to come there".
Dr. Castorino is working WITH you. If you don't like a specific treatment, he will work with you to find a solution you like. He has the knowledge and I trust him. It's not easy to find a good doctor, and I am happy I found him. Cristina is running the office - sweet angel, great smile and patience.
I am very happy with Dr Castorino.
At least he is friendly because his staff is not@
The Dr is fine, spends time with you and looking to help. The front desk gal is kinda snarky, unfortunately.
He is compassionate, spends all necessary time, and open to new ideas to improve condition.
Amazing Dr. Figured out exactly what the problem was.
Dr. Castorino is the best Endocrine doctor I've ever seen. He has moved mountains with my health and is never in a rusj. He's very compassionate and thorough.
This guy listens intently and is aggressively proactive in treating his patients. He is knowledgable and up to date on new treatments, current research and is willing to try new technology where other doctors I've visited were less willing to find solutions. Dr. Castorino instills confidence in his patients, he is a highly competent physician who genuinely cares about his patients.
For one I am mad. What kind of staff does this Doctor have. I cannot get appointment without getting the third degree of what kind of insurance I have. The person I talk with cannot tell me if my insurance is accepted. What do they have computer for? I would fire them all. I thought I was on trial being cross examined. What a phone experience. I call the office back to express my displeasure. The young lady took my medical number and phone number. She said she will call me back and let me know if the doctor accepts my insurance. I doubt if she call me back because she do not have a clue. Go back to school is what this person needs to do.
I am so impressed with this guy...he shared new research on diabetes, developed a plan for me with appropriate meds and vitamins, and took my concerns seriously...he listens, thinks, researches and makes you feel like you are his most important patient. The guy is brilliant, one of those "science nerds" who prides himself on conducting research, finding solutions, treating his patients with respect...and he is just the best health care provider I have found in my 63 years. I don't want everyone to go to him because now it is fairly easy to get an appointment with him, but after word gets around about him, that may change. But I recommend him enthusiastically, and without reservation.
We have been with him for 3 years now and didnt see him for about 6 month but when I called for an appointment, turns out his front office people have been replaced and was very very disrespectful, I hope Dr Castorino finds out about this, they returned my call from Friday to set uo an appointment and this lady named Brenda said that we owed $25 for a no show, I said I never confirmed appointments before and that his office never did this to us, she said, well I am the new officw manager and he is seeing more patients thats why there have been alot of changes, ny husband gave me3 a puzzled look so briefly mentiined that we were talking about a "late fee"that he supposedly iwed the office, her tine of voice was very arrogant from the beginning, which really is upsetting because that is not how front office peoole are supposed to speak with patients?? She started raising her voice and I felt even more upset!!! I called back from a different phone now a lady named Alexis answered I asked to speak to the Dr personally which I know was not possible but I just really wanted to tell them that what they are doing was wrong she started asking why and "who is this?" In a very rude voice and when she didnt hear me she asked "what????!!", so I asked howcome everyine in the office is being 4ude today? she said "I am not being rude" raising her voice this time, I t4ied to answer but could not speak over her babbling saying," why are you screaming at me?" , "you are screaming!", probably trying to tell the people around her that I was screaming in the other lune which was frustrating because I was not screaming at all, what she didnt know was that she was in speaker and my whole family heard her, My husband tokd me to just hang up. That is very sad, we love Dr Castorino. He is thee best Dr we have had so far but his front people needs more education about customer service. We are planning to get this fixed by going to the office personally, but I feel sad for all the others that he may lose because of these Brenda and Alexis!
After having the WORST experience with Dr. Nahkle and Dr. Iqbal, I was ready to just give up. Thank you Dr. Castorino for showing me there IS hope and your demeanor and compassion is 10 Stars! He actually made me feel like he WANTED to help me rather than telling me that is was going to be his way or the highway. Trust me on this one, I couldn't be happier! TY!
I would like to let everyone know Dr.Castorino is great. I have been looking for a Endo for a while and after reading reviews on different doctors I found Dr.Castorino being the best with the best ratings. I spoke with his office personal and let me tell you she is the best. Brenda is Well spoken, knowledgable and very efficient. I would recommend Dr.Castorino and his staff for anyone in search of Endo. Great office!
If i could give this doctor 10 stars he deserves it! From the minute you step into his office you feel comfortable and you know your in the right place. For new patients registering with there office is done on a tablet which made the entire process easier, faster, and more private. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. The office was very clean (which is a relief after being to some that are not). Now for the best part of the visit is Dr. Castorino. He is one of the best doctors I have ever been too. From the minute you meet with him he makes you feel comfortable and gives a sense of well being. He also gave me the impression i had found the smartest doctor in town when it comes to diabetes. ANY question you have he can answer in terms you can fully understand. I will definitely be adding him to my team of doctors. I Recommend him to anyone new to diabetes, or just looking for a new doctor!
I gotta a called today from a dear patient at Dr Castorino's office letting me know that when at its appt it was talked very negatively about me and to check Vitals.com to see what people was saying. All I can say its, the patients at this office that know me they know that I care for them, as of now I am in contact with some part of you/them and I really hope that Dr C and staff are taking good care of you/them. As of Dr C, as a doctor he can be good, he likes to solve enigmas and is always researching, I thank he very much for the opportunity he gave me on growing and learning as a medical assistant and thanks to that all this comments that should actually be about the doctor not myself that I been gone for over 4 months now, don't bother me. Again Dr C thanks for the opportunity,
The girls at the front desk are just wonderful they make you feel right at home . The doctor was very nice he took a lot of time asking me questions he listens very well. Very happy to have found him would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a great endocrinologist.
I have NEVER EVER experienced anything like this before. As I poise myself to write the Medical Board, and the BBB, I am stopping here because I feel it imperative to share this lunacy. I made an appointment with this office directly. When I called back to confirm the time of my appointment, I reached the Answering service. I was advised the office would be out (at the time of my appointment) for a week. Oddly, I thought... something is going on there. But, against my better judgement I marched on, leaving a message for their office requesting a call back ASAP regarding an appointment that would be missed because they were suddenly going to be out of the office. I never received a call back. So, I called back, of course I was advised they had gone for the day. I left another message. To my surprise I did not receive a call back. Now at the start of my 3rd call back I reached the Answering service and was advised the office was out for lunch... NO PROBLEM I thought! I left another message requesting a call back, to no avail. I called again (Same day/After lunch) And this is when the JOY ride began. I spoke with a Woman who claimed to be the Office Manager... (this as you will see was laughable. I introduced myself and began to explain my situation, the woman quickly interrupted by sayin, " What, your name is Who"? I restated and was instantly met with, "Hold On". No hold music, no nothing and 5 minutes later, I was still holding. She finally returns only to ask me my name! I give it to her and restate my concerns with now being out of medication, no return calls, no appointment and no answers! She interjects and starts speaking to me like we are friends who grew up on the same block! Then the story changes into a specialty issue. The doctor won't see you because you don't have the approved health problems? Ok, I may have accepted that at an earlier date, but in lieu of all that had transpired I thought not. She argued with me for a good 10 minutes. And then, she claims to have pulled the doctor from an examine room to talk with me. But, not so fast! He wouldn't get on the phone because, I didn't have the approved health issues? I thought this was some kind of joke. Honestly. At long last he gets on the phone. No introduction, nothing. Just "Ma'am" (again argumentative) and he says, "You need to hold on", as if to say I was out of line or had gone too far. He begins to tell me (without hearing my story) that there is a lot of talking coming from my side. "What the heck" I'm thinking... "Is this really a doctor"? He went on about them being a "Laid back" office, and again finding faulth with the patient that was not handled properly. I am in shock. I will complain until it is addressed. A sad day. Disgusted. (New to Nevada)
Once you make it past the very rude and unprofessional front office staff to see Dr. C things are great. It really is a shame that such a great doctor has such a discourteous staff. The woman behind the front desk was too busy looking at something on her cell phone as well as speaking in Spanish to a young man (possibly boyfriend or husband) who was lounging on the front counter making it difficult for anyone to check in. I don't usually leave reviews but I am hoping that Dr. C happens upon this one so that he can perhaps make corrections. I really would like to continue as a patient at his office but if this type of rudeness continues I will have to go elsewhere. I am giving the Dr. the full 4 stars but his office staff does not deserve even 1 star. Really a shame.
Dr. Castorino and his staff are thorough, professional and personable. Dr. C takes the time to ensure that all of my questions are answered and all of my concerns are addressed. He clearly has a sincere interest in my overall well-being and is a knowledgeable physician. Milzanea is always very welcoming to me and the other patients in the office and she makes each visit run smoothly. On multiple occasions, she has gone out of her way to follow-up on special requests/questions I have had for her or the doctor. Dr. Castorino and his staff provide excellent service and care.
