Dr. Stephen Erik Gano, MD

I would never recommend this place to anyone. I went to see him for an issue with Psoriasis and I was told by nurse that all I had to do was wait for my medication to come in. A month later I still have not received a medication and my symptoms have gotten worst. I call and the nurse would never return my calls or would filter all information through the receptionist (avoiding me). There is no urgency to remedy my psoriasis and meanwhile I have not been able to sleep more than two hours a night for a whole month...........I had my wife call and she told the nurse that I was in intense pain and she told my wife she would call in a script for the pain and two days later still no medication was called in???? NOT GOOD!!!!!!

After going to a PA at another facility, and finding that office was not affiliated with our insurance carrier, I made an appointment with Dr. Gano. The office staff's pleasantness continued from the phone appointment to the full payment. Dr. Gano cordially greeted me and listened to my concerns patiently. He examined those areas carefully and made a diagnosis with recommendations. The PA had also done those things at the previously mentioned appointment, but diagnosed two moles as cancerous/pre-cancerous, and stated those should be removed within two weeks. Dr. Gano diagnosed those moles as normal, genetic moles that show up rarely before we are seniors and are not cancerous. The PA wanted to freeze the precancerous areas (6 of them) for $250 each ($1500) then and there. Dr. Gano also gave the same recommendation, but charged less than $200 including the co-pay required! Those are now healing as expected. He recommended follow-up only for problems.
