Dr. Stephen Mock, MD

I have a continued problem with blood in my urine. He doesn’t care I’ve been dismissed and treated badly. I was told it was old blood and it looks like the problem took care of it’s self. Like what? Who tells you that but no answers to the problem. I was told to follow up if the problem continued and it’s been a week with no call back every time I call they say they’re waiting on a response from him and nothing! I’m literally passing blood clots when ever I urinated and it’s not a problem????? Unbelievable

Dr. Mock has been accessible, gracious, knowledgeable and courteous every step of the way. We have gone through 2 boughs of bladder cancer. Once we tried immunotherapy and once chemo. Both times, he took the time to describe what was happening, what to expect including possible side effects. When the side effects were not tolerable, he listened to what we wanted and responded with empathy. I could not ask for more for a doctor.

My experience is that he is more concerned with moving patients through then actually taking the time to find out what is causing your problem .

I brought my husband, who has dementia and had developed a problem of needing to urinate up to a dozen times each night and urinated over 2 liters each night, to see Dr. Mock. I was incredibly disappointed because Dr. Mock was so dismissive of us and implied that he had more important patients to attend to. He even asked me "Do you even know what urology is?" I said "the study of the bladder among other things." Which it is. When I told him that I considered us to be in a health crisis since I needed to get up a dozen times a night with him to help him use the urinal bottle and we were both dangerously sleep deprived, he left the room and didn't come back for over 30 minutes and then said that he couldn't help us. It was frustrating to be treated so curtly.
