Dr. Stephen A Moe has the following 2 specialties
A psychiatrist is a doctor with specific training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.
He or she can not only provide the counseling necessary to both diagnose and treat a patient, but can also prescribe medication when needed. In some cases, a psychiatrist will only provide the medication and the counseling will be provided by another healthcare specialist, like a certified counselor or psychologist.
Like other doctors, psychiatrists employ diagnostic tools like CT scans and MRI in order to observe the structure and function of a patient's brain.
Once a diagnosis is made, these specialists may use behavior or cognitive therapy in order to address the patient's condition, or a multitude of other types of therapy, in conjunction with or in place of medication.
A neurologist is a physician who diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system which is comprised of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. These doctors do not perform surgery, but refer patients to neurological surgeons when they determine that surgical intervention is necessary.
Some of the conditions that neurologists diagnose and treat are epilepsy, aneurysms, hydrocephalus, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, spinal disc herniation, and spinal disease.
In addition to using diagnostic tests like MRI, CT scans, EEG and EMG, neurologists also employ neurological testing to gauge muscle strength and movement, balance, reflexes, sensation, memory, speech, and other cognitive abilities.

I was sent to this so called professional for an I M E and must say he has to in the pocket of the work comp insurance company. Since my accident a severe amount of depression has set in due to lack of ability to care for myself and loss of memory and cognative problems. Some of the time I just sit home alone and cry most of the day. I don't want to even go into the public anymore because I am so insecure about myself I don't want people to see me. I have gained over 30 pounds and become FAT. In his professional opinion since watching a cetain TV program makes me feel better for a short time there is just no way I could be depressed. I also told him its nice to just go for a ride in a car with my wife just to get out for awhile since inam unable to drive myself any longer so again how could I be depressed. And since I decided many years ago due to a illness I quit drinking and for that reason I am an alcoholic looking for other means of obtaining some kind of drugs and am therefore only out for secondary gain even though I have not asked any of my new doctors for any new meds. I have been on xanax for 20 years for anxietyb and panic attacks and again therefore I can't be depressed and am an alcoholic. This man is so far off in his diagnosis its ridiculous. I have since gone to another Doctor at my own expence for help since work comp insurance won't pay due to his so called opinion. Thank goodness I had the resources to find a real doctor and a real professional helping me now. I am taking an anti depression medication and visit with her 1 or 2 days a week and am somewhat feeling better about myself and in time hope to feel good about myself as I did before my worm related injury. Would I recommend this man to anyone? Absolutely not....run away from him and if you are forced to see him from a work comp IME get a lawyer and get him to help you f ind another dictor to perform it....he will only say what the insurance wants and not the truth about what is really going on inside your head. Perhaps if he could spend just one day walking in my shoes he may learn something about people and how they feel but then again maybe not because I am sure tue insurance company pays him well as it appears he only does insurance IMEs judging by his lack of staff and office space. I feel sorry for you if you ever have to see him for his unprofessional opi ions Sincerely UN SATISFIED ONE TIME PATIENT
This Dr. is definitely works for insurance company -- he is actually asked me if i still had an interest in sex and if i had a boyfriend -- totally inappropriate questions. then he compared my trauma to trauma of others.....i was appalled. he won't let you bring anyone into the session either....get a lawyer if you see this guy
