Dr. Stephen Wiley Duncan, MD

Dr. Duncan is a Mobile-born clinician whose journey from college athlete to physician gives him a relatable, disciplined approach to patient care. A former Mississippi State football scholarship athlete, a senior-year knee injury redirected his path back to Mobile where he completed dual BS degrees in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Mobile. That combination of athletic grit and lab-trained precision informs his bedside manner: he blends competitive focus with careful scientific reasoning to guide patients through complex health decisions.

After a brief career as a chemist at Olin Chemical Co., Dr. Duncan pursued his lifelong goal of medicine, earning his medical degree from St. George’s University. He began residency in Internal Medicine at Mercer University’s Medical Center of Central Georgia, then shifted to complete his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mercer when he discovered his passion for women’s health. Following years as a traveling physician, Dr. Duncan …was recruited by Capital Regional Medical Center and has served the Tallahassee community since arriving in November 2001.
